I had a dream: The Onedin Line was remastered. I said to myself: "Sail-ho!", and smiled.

I know, the whole series is on youtube, but I found it really strange that it isn't available on any streaming service in better quality. For us, non-english speakers, to have english closed captions is a blessing, esp. for british stuff! So I hope it'll come eventually. Any fans out there? It's a great sea adventure, drama, romance- or just sea soap. Peter Gilmore I love you!

Talking Pictures TV is currently rerunning it, so it’s possibly available on their catch up service TPTV Encore. Not sure if the quality would be any better than what’s out there already but may be worth a try.

Not in the UK, only the first four series were released over here.

The lovely Jessica Benton starred in this series for something like 10 years ... then disappeared
and was never seen on TV again !
