Tory Politician Thinks All White Men Should Have a Black Slave

Just when I thought this disgusting party couldn't get any worse, they prove me wrong. Tory politician Andrew Edwards was recorded saying "I think all white men should have a black man as a slave or black woman as a slave". He went on to say "There’s nothing wrong with skin colour, it’s just that they’re lower class than us white people."

It's beyond me how anyone can vote for these despicable people.

Agreed. Though, since Brexit I have found our country is becoming more racist by the day. The only thing more sickening than our government is the increasing bigotry that is ever present around our country. This government depends on these people to keep them in power.

I agree. I think the racism was always here but Brexit has emboldened racists to be more open about their bigotry. The Conservative Party even selected an ex BNP member and former deputy leader of Britain First to a candidate for them in Bracknell which I can't imagine ever happening when John Major or David Cameron was their leader.

Absolutely, however I ‘believed’, which I’m now wondering if was more ‘hoped’, that we were learning from past behaviour. I don’t think we will wipe out racism in my lifetime, but I did think we were working towards that happening.

The fact we had a racist, homophobic and sexist Prime Minister who turned parliament into a tea party for the privileged speaks volumes of todays politics and the people running it. I want to say more fool the public for voting them in, but I’m now of the belief (as you say) that Brexit has not only laid a platform, but it’s increased racism, which then supports prejudices in all other areas.

Not me. And still there is a strong support for Boris on our streets. One thing Boris achieved was to increase political talk and views, but for all the wrong reasons. I’ve seen people asked why they voted for him and say that he’s great entertainment. He doesn’t care how he does it as long as he’s in the limelight. I can’t watch or listen to him without feeling anger and aggression towards him and his cabinet and then to the people who support them.
