Jock's will - it would have been impossible to split a company like Ewing Oil as per the will It is partially why I never cared for season 6, as much as some of the others. It would have made more sense for Rebecca to seek revenge against Ewing Oil, with Pam caught in the middle It was a good season, but there were too many such unrealistic conflicts. It never made sense to me that Katherine didn't inherit the controlling interest in the company Did Ellie really believe that selling Ewing Oil would end all the rivalry? JR and Bobby would have been rivals for either new companies, interactions with Weststar, control of Southfork or something else entirely Ray never seemed to believe that Bobby had any responsibility for subsequent events. I get that he didn't like JR, but as JR pointed out (correctly), no one was without responsibility Pam blaming Bobby and Clayton blaming JR for Rebecca's fate was ludicrous If anyone was responsible, it was Cliff. Katherine had a point In season 6, I think characters and plots were well written within implausible scenarios Season 4, Lesley Stewart - yuk. JR never would have chosen her. She was no Mandy Winger, and JR didn't choose her, ultimately The dream season - basically the entire season And in season 12, the JR that we all knew would have sought revenge against Hayleyville. When JR was finished, there would be nothing left standing. So many more
