Fortunately, the ratings for each individual episode can be found on Wikipedia and there are newspaper clippings with the rankings for several weeks of the 1980-81 season. Flamingo Road was rarely in the weekly top 40, often only between places 50 and 60, so I assume that Flamingo Road was around the 50th place during the first season. Still, it's amazing that NBC stuck with Flamingo Road for a second season.
