The only thing I really dislike is that she often runs away from conflicts. Every time things are getting interesting, off she goes. It's like that stupid Dynasty season 4 finale over and over again. I don't think I would have wanted the UFO on Dynasty, but it made more sense to do it in that season 4 finale. Or at least hint at a bizarre experience to add more oomph to her mysterious headache. Alternatively, if they'd wanted to kill off the character for real, she could have done a "it's all for you, Damian (Adam)!" All the characters were great in those first seasons. I see her as different character and I think some of the new aspects work better for the The Colbys story. Original Fallon being raped by Miles? Sorry but I just can't see it (remember how she quasi-drowned Michael in the bathtub). To me, personally, THE COLBYS looks like a JEFF & MILES show rather than a JEFF & FALLON show. It's not really about her but the conflicts she creates simply by being there, and it was very different in the early seasons of Dynasty when the story focused on Fallon. You could say that she was The Colbys' answer to Dynasty's Kirby. It doesn't seem like a wonderful idea to create a similar love triangle, but the story was not as black & white as the one on Dynasty, and therefore more entertaining to watch. Miles had psychopathic traits, like Adam, but also moments of vulnerability, which made this particular love triangle surprisingly dramatic, and that didn't stop when they added Channing to the mix - while Sable is trying to steer things in order to trump her sister (as if the situation wasn't complex enough!) I can see your point if you watch it as a Jeff & Fallon saga, but let's not forget the Jeff & Original Fallon were never meant to be in the first place. And maybe that's why the reworked Fallon works better in The Colbys universe. It's mostly about the spin-off characters, just like NuDallas was mostly about the NuDallas kids. After all, isn't that the whole point of sequels and spin-offs? I also love season 2 and
the Cassidy family is my favourite addition to The Colbys saga. Philip Colby didn't do much for me - with Bianca Jagger in the most boring stunt cast appearance ever - and new adversary Lucas was a disappointing substitute for Zach Powers and D.A. John Moretti.
