D.S8 had Jeff mentioning his nameless father wanting something in connection with the pipeline with no explanation for the non-TC viewers how Jason came to be his father. I don't even know whether Philip is even meant to be alive off-screen on Dynasty in the latter seasons. It's either lazy writing or some deliberate reason to omit explanations that's unknown to us. I'm thinking legal reasons, remembering that the actors doing crossovers, ostensibly playing the same characters, still needed separate contracts to appear on each other's show. Maybe the shows were forbidden to use the same storylines.</p></blockquote><p></p>
