It's often been the case that the series I've had to persevere with a little are the ones with which end up having the most meaningful relationship (same for music and film. And probably people I've met in real life as well).Back when I was a child, I naturally absorbed some of my Mum's aversion to Alf Garnett without really forming my own opinion. Now that I'm able to view things more objectively and better understand the purpose of the character I'm looking forward to discovering him in all his loud, grating glory.
