Have you never fallen out with people, even with your best friends, and said things that you wouldn't have said with a cooler head? The character of Lucy was often like that herself. As mentioned above, Victoria and Charlene got on well in 2004 at Return to Southfork. Victoria went to Charlene first out of anyone, as I recall.

Well, not moi, but Miss Piggy here does it all the time. Sometimes I don´t know how I can stand the beech sweet pig...

Damn, you people have a thin skin. In real-life I tear people down as a matter of routine and then forget it. It’s just words, guys! Move on.

Now, back on topic.

If Tilton said what she did, I am not sure what she expected VP to do once she left the show. Slumber parties? Bake sales?

Because I’m just curious as to what Tilton meant. Did they call VP and she wouldn’t return their calls? Did they actively reach out to her only to be met with stoney silence?

Wow, this thread has really gone places I didn't expect... :NI:

I don't think it matters either way whether the reports were true or not. If Charlene did say that, it's fine - she was basically still a child when Dallas started and I have always had the impression that they were like her second family at the time. Maybe, she hoped they would all stay that way (and, most of them have). Victoria quite obviously drifted a little further away and if Charlene was upset by that, that's understandable. Has anyone not been upset when they feel like they've lost a friend? Granted, she could have called instead but I'm sure she had Victoria's attention after that article ;)

1. deliberately post inflammatory article from years ago
2. feign surprise/ignorance when people get upset, mock their ‘thin skin’
3. double down on ‘discussion’ of stupid article

lame-ass trolling 101 - take that Willie Joe Garr-level bs to the dynasty board! :embarrassed: (just kidding, Dynasty fans!)

Yes, and as has been said, journalists tend to "bait" celebrities for these kind of quotes to use - plus the rift between Youthful Queen Empress of Everything And Beyond Victoria Principal and the rest of the cast is pretty much the most known gossip fodder from Dallas. I wouldn't be surprised if she had an off day and just decided to give the press what they wanted.

Guys, all I am saying is that Tilton isn’t the only one that has made comments about VP distancing herself after she left the show. My question is, what did they expect her to do? Visit the set? Bring them cookies? Invite them to her house for slumber parties and reminisce?

The f@cking SHOW WAS JUST A JOB......

Yes, but imagine if she felt the cast was close and the rest of the cast does some effort to keep in touch and Victoria just shuns her. No one is saying that Victoria hasn't got the right to treat it like a job, leave it behind and never talk to anyone from that time ever again, but doesn't Charlene also have the right to her feelings? It must sting if you thought you were close to someone and then to only realise that you weren't.

While the quote from Charlene is likely manufactured, VP is also a survivalist personality type. You're useful to her when you are.

Eh, I don't know, completely manufacturing a quote leads to lawsuits - usually they just twist the words around so much that it borders on the truth just enough to avoid getting sued, then again they might've just counted on this passing Charlene by entirely.

And a related note, this picture just came up in the picture feed on the front page from the Hollyoaks thread:

They kind of look like low-rent versions of Victoria and Charlene, so I guess they could play them in the Dallas: Behind The Scenes movie.
