. I have gained six orchids since 20 September. One by mail/ebay and five from the flower lady at the grocery store, four of which were free all in one day.

Beautiful names! .... Pumpkin is especially relevant right now. Sometimes people over here use the word pumpkin as a term of endearment.

She is just fine, thank you. She's lost a couple of blooms, but otherwise looks happy. I need to take her photo again, oh and I have a new friend in the garden or it could be an old friend returning, every time I go out in the back garden the cutest little Robin appears and I of course can't resist feeding him, he's gorgeous.

It was definitely quiet around here. Every time I logged in I’d go over to the games section to see if anyone was playing and nothing. I’d check my alerts and nothing. It got so bad I was contemplating asking myself questions then answering them. It got so bad I was thinking about going to the Guess Who Will Post Next thread and say I’m next just so I had something to look forward to. It got so depressing I went and sit in the TT cafe but didn’t order any food cause there was no one to make it.

It seemed to slow down a little bit but it’s still very busy. But now it’s going to take off soon. They’re forecasting a slower than usual Christmas for us but I’ll believe it when I see it.

I’ve been reading about this actually. And it’s mind boggling to me cause we have way too many drivers. Every time I turn around we’re hiring more. Are your shelves in the stores still empty? I couldn’t believe some of the pictures I’ve seen recently. It’s very scary!

Its funny when I look back to being a child, the summer and playing outside seemed to last for months

It sure did! Oh how I wish I could go back there sometimes. I would do so many things differently this time around. I think we take those days for granted.

Christmas used to take years to come around again, nowadays it feels like its Christmas time again every 6 months

Same here. The show is mostly what I know. I think I remember the title of every episode so I definitely may have issues.

I haven't seen most episodes since it's original airing but I do find some memorable hulk-outs on Youtube from time to time. It was funny seeing the situations Banner was put into.

Of course! Out of the three celebrities I’ve met, I’d say two were kind of disappointing for me. They were nice, don’t get me wrong, but I think when I was younger I’d expect them to be these larger than life personas and they really weren’t. But one of them far and away not only met my expectations but even exceeded them.

I ordered Flyleaf from the same person on Ebay who I bought Tippie from last year. She was a longtime unsold orchid, a rescue from somewhere. A double unwanted orchid so I felt I had to saver her as she had withered leaves and no blooms to show. She has shown me she wants to live.

On a 27 September visit to the grocery store I planned to buy a new orchid with blooms as my other were not blooming. I told the flower lady I intended to purchase a full price plant as I don't want her to be thinking I only use my powers of hotness to win the freedom of past bloomed orchids. To my surprise she gave me four in decline blooming orchids. Two of which are still blooming today, besides the full priced orchid I bought, Pumpkin. It did take me day to make all five. The powers of hotness on display. Any more I'll be making a trip to the hardware store for another shelf for a new plant tower.

She had been in a rough way for over a year and been on a decline since after that July trip to the nursery. At least she made the trip to that amazing place. It seems after I got my latest batch of orchids she knew I had a plant family and her job was finished. I will always remember my orchid #2 as she rebloomed in the depths of the Covid lock-down over here. I'll miss my Pinkie Violet. Poor Snowy is is without her longtime mate but has thirty others to live with.

I think the show might’ve been better if they had written the episodes first and then inserted the Hulk outs instead of writing the Hulk outs first and then writing the story around them but what do I know. That was how they did it and I can understand it I guess. The Hulk outs was what everyone wanted to see the most so I get it. Ur right though, we need a Hulk thread. DFF will see what he can do.

I told him I didn’t and we started talking. I told him I was a huge fan and we had about a 5 minute conversation about wrestling. Very nice man and nothing like that tv persona. Definitely my best celebrity encounter so far.

We’re 26 posts away now so we definitely caught up, which is good cause I want to go trick or treating on Halloween and not be worrying about if we’re gonna make our goal or not.

Yes, it was two per episode until the final season when they went to one per episode due to budget constraints. Of course the final season is only seven episodes long so the writing was on the wall I guess.

Thank you! It was quite a shock to meet him. Other drivers had met him in the same building but I figured I probably never would cause it wasn’t a route I did very often. So it was quite surprising!

I wish that winter would arrive here in South Florida. It’s still 85 degrees every day! Usually the first week in November it starts to cool down a little but I’m not holding my breath.

Children are great to be around, they're a good distraction as they make it impossible for us to sit back and zone out

(and sometimes worse, depending on the kid)

Over here the forecast is for a chaotic Christmas and we are being encouraged to order early, although I refuse to panic buy.

Not really, some stores don't have random things, for instant I've not been able to buy radish from TESCO which doesn't matter, but they normally would never run out of things like this. Oh and square crisps (potato chips) I love, love square crisps and can't get hold of them anywhere !

I think the media crank up the situation for more drama. I was reading that we might be short of turkeys this Christmas, so many people have bought them already, but I just think we won't starve and if we can't have turkey we will have best steak or something else.

I know what you mean. Currently our shops have both Halloween and Christmas stalls next to each other. I have to admit I dare not buy the Christmas chocolate currently on offer, because I know it would drive me crazy knowing that we have chocolates in the cupboard .... I have no will-power
