STEVE HALLIWELL (1946-2023)

Stephen Harold Halliwell
(21st March 1946- 15th December 2023)

Emmerdale's Zak Dingle, since 1994, dies age 77

Shocking news! I had no idea he was ill.

[Emelee]

That's sad to read. I figured he was poorly (he's looked poorly in recent years of Emmerdale), but I didn't know how poorly. Rest in peace, papa Dingle!

This was a shock to read although he hadn't looked right for sometime. Lovely post from Lisa Riley.
May he rest in peace.

Sorry to hear about Steve. My condolences to his wife Valerie; children, friends, Emmerdale colleagues and many fans.

Some are already asking on other forums if Zak's passing will be acknowledged in the story...

I'm sure they will, eventually, but, at the moment, it's too early.

I can remember going to see Steve in repertory theatre at the (now defunct) Wythenshawe forum in the 1980s when he was an unknown actor and long before his tv fame as “Zak Dingle”

RIP Steve Halliwell

I think that he had a small role in the movie Clockwise.

Thank you so much for posting that beautiful tribute from the amazing Danny Miller.

[Biggie]

Still a shock even though he'd been unwell for a while.

RIP Zak.
