Special Counsel’s Report Puts Biden’s Age and Memory in the Spotlight

Back in 2020, Biden supporters scoffed at the idea that Biden was showing signs of dementia. They claimed Biden was merely showing normal signs of aging.

Four years later, and it's obvious Biden's poor memory and incoherent babbling isn't just "normal aging." Biden escaped charges for mishandling classified documents, partly because “It would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.” That's according to special counsel Robert K. Hur. Biden can't remember when he was vice president, confuses world leaders with each other (including dead ones,) and can't remember when his son Beau died.

Even Biden acolytes such as David Axelrod and James Carville are sounding the alarm. The fact that these professional spin doctors are openly worried speaks volumes.

I never understand why someone in their 80s would still be working, never mind the fact he is seen as a world leader.

Then again, I’m baffled that a country with over 300 million people and the best they can come up with is Biden or Trump to run for President.

Not that I understand American politics and that my country has worthy leaders in politics.

The two mainstream political parties in the US have ways of manipulating the primaries (the DNC is surprisingly worse at this than the RNC.)

Then you have varying factions of the media, which do the bidding of the duopoly. They're propagandists for them. This includes smearing "undesirable" candidates, while proclaiming candidates favorable to the establishment are "most electable." Trump won in 2016 because he was an outsider politically, even though he was a billionaire. This is what I mean about the DNC being worse, as they did far more meddling in the primary process to ensure an anti-establishment candidate never became the leader of the pack. Trump was an agent of chaos who ultimately had neocon tendencies. However, he sometimes went off script, which is why the political establishment doesn't want him back in.

Money in politics also makes being a politician a lucrative job. It's not uncommon for people to get into politics for earnest reasons, only to be corrupted by corporate influence later on. Money is used to buy elections, giving politicians a cushy job into their golden years, and giving the corporations and military industrial complex everything they want.

It doesn't matter how old they are, as long as they stay on message. Trump's a liability because he likes to stir the pot, while Biden's a liability due to cognitivie issues.

Fundraising is probably the most important factor, fueled by coastal elites and big tech.
And the media blatantly favors left of center candidates who are career politicians.
And there is George Soros, who is supporting candidates with his agenda - unfortunately

The elites will take Kamala Harris because she's just another corrupt corporatist, and I've noticed in the last few weeks that Kamala has obviously been trained to rein in her naturally "wacky" gestures and cackle, but she's so disliked and unelectable, the Democratic leaders are going to be nervous as hell with her at the top of the ticket --- so they've got to be wondering: will she fare better at the polls in November if Old Joe resigns before then and the voters have a chance to see "confident" Kamala at the helm for a few months, or will she fare better at the polls if they haven't?

They're so dumb, they may try to run her if Biden is forced to resign because they can't change his diaper fast enough as he rolls down the steps from Air Force One again. But they may think calling everybody until November a "misogynoirist" who they think won't vote for her might actually work.

Biden's dementia was obvious to us as early as 2018 -- even to my parents who both had dementia.

Nikki Haley is the establishment's preference, because she's the most shameless warpig amongst all the warpigs available. If they manage to push Trump out of the way, I'm afraid Nikki Haley is our next president. Age and gender (and whom the voters like) become irrelevant when you possess the sociopathic credentials required.

And she does.

I usually hate election years and cringe endlessly throughout the months-long process. But I've actually been nihilistically looking forward to the 2024 election cycle simply because it's going to be an unmitigated shit show.

Whatever the final result is, it won't be good. Except for the corporate gods.

Despite still having the #1 economy in the world, there's a reason the United States is #37th in terms of quality of life: the federal government is 100% corrupt and completely unresponsive to its citizens -- and it gets worse every year. And will continue to.

. It's not uncommon for people to get into politics for earnest reasons, only to be corrupted by corporate influence later on.

And I think sexual blackmail is also a major factor nobody talks about. But they say it's the biggest business in Washington.

Everybody is photographed in compromising situations with a 14-year old and a giraffe -- or the old man orgy Cawthorn Madison was invited to and attended that Capitol Hill claims he lied about. And throw a few million bucks into the pot and what's not to love?

Ive always felt that, in a country that must have so much talent and they come up with The Donald and Doddery Joe

As someone who works in a healthcare setting , he looks like a classic Cognitive impairment kind of guy!

Rather scary really re both of them!!

Joe Biden was asked to recall information dating back to when he was Vice-President which was 8 years ago. At the Covid inquiry, the UK prime minister, Rishi Sunak was asked to recall information from only 4 years ago and he repeatedly claimed he couldn't remember.

Look at the UK, we elected a corrupt clown and a woman who was beaten by a lettuce so our talent appears to be even worse. Joe Biden with all his frailties has been a more competent leader of his country than some of the people that we have had leading our country recently.

That's such a low bar, though.

Also, I doubt Biden's making serious decisions in his condition. The establishment just needs someone to sell their awful policies, and Biden can no longer function in that role. Whenever a president faces scrutiny, their team usually comes out and gives a full-throated defense of them. However, that's not happening here. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Kamala Harris is yet another example that mediocrity rises to the top in this country.

The cries of "racist" and "misogynist" have already begun, even though she saw minorities as cheap prison labor and was tough on mothers of truant kids while working as a prosecutor. On the other hand, she didn't prosecute Trump's Secretary of State Steve Mnuchin for foreclosure violations. But then the woke always misdirect their anger.

Harris was also big on asylum seekers in 2020 before telling them "Don't come" once in office. But we're supposed to ignore all that, along with her cackling insufferableness.

Nikki Haley is the establishment's preference, because she's the most shameless warpig amongst all the warpigs available. A shit show indeed. I understand where George Carlin was coming from when he said he was detached from the outcome and just wanted to sit back and watch the show.

Many Dems love Haley, which was an early indicator of how awful she is. Dems came to love neocon war pigs that hate Trump. Even Dubya is beloved in neoliberal circles now.

I’m afraid what I’m about to say is going to sound like age discrimination but I just don’t see the value in people in their 80s running for office. There’s something to be said for experience and wisdom in some cases but I’ve always felt more comfortable with younger leaders that can perhaps demonstrate an ability to handle the stress and day to day rigors of the job better.

That's all PR, though -- Biden's "successes" are a manipulation of statistics. He's been, predictably, a disaster.

Yes, every president inflates their successes. The economy is only good for the rich like it is under every president. The minimum wage hasn't been raised since 2009, inflation has hurt the poor, the military budget keeps getting expanded, there's a crisis at the border, and billions of US tax dollars are being sent to fund wars in Ukraine and Gaza.

But for people who support mutilating children's genitals and forced diversity and inclusion policies that prioritize quotas over qualifications, Biden is great. It's sad seeing the few Biden supporters still in denial of his diminished mental faculties. Not that they care how incoherent or confused he is, so long as their neoliberal agenda is pushed through.

I would love to see Bidens CT scan as I bet you there will be a few holes in it and an awful lot of small vessell disease

Seeing him in the news this past month just reminds me of similar patients in the wards i work in, bewildered, befuddled, confused and I do think there should be an age limit on terms of office (for all of us, anywhere in the world!)

Biden's age is a problem, but please let's not act like Trump's isn't. Recently we have seen make very similar gaffes - including totally confusing Niki Haley for Nancy Pelosi.
And who specifically is acting like Trump's age isn't an issue?

Did you not see Ome's post lamenting people in their 80s being world leaders, and how Biden AND Trump are the best America can come up with for president?

Or what about Barbara Fan, who made a similar observation about how "The Donald and Doddery Joe" are who Americans are left to choose from?

Like Ome, DallasFanForever mentioned not seeing "the value in people in their 80s running for office."

Lastly, perhaps you missed my post talking about how political payoffs make it lucrative for politicians (plural) to stay in politics well into their golden years.

So yeah, I disagree that we're giving Trump a pass. That said, I believe Biden's cognitive issues are worse than Trump's. Biden can hardly form coherent sentences anymore, while Trump confused a corrupt neocon for a corrupt neoliberal. We're talking late-stage vs. early-stage dementia. Trump's gaffes aren't enough to get the criminal charges against him dropped. In contrast, the special counsel in Biden's case said “It would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him (Biden) of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.” IMO, both Biden and Trump are mentally unfit to serve. Of course, what's even worse is that they're both war pigs and corporate tools.

Trump is an octopus of problems. Nobody here is saying otherwise. I certainly don't want Trump to be president again. But we can't just keep saying, "...but....but...but Trump!" when concerns over Biden's dementia are brought up. Trump is making age-related flubs (although it's probably just because he's a bombastic idiot) but his mental acuity issues, such as they are, don't compare to the desiccated brain of Ol' Joe Biden.

If Biden's team (who are running his presidency) were actually carrying out constructive policies, then I'd be less concerned about it. But despite what the media is telling us, Biden is a disaster!

Right. Trump's age certainly isn't un-concerning, but his incoherence usually is the bluster of a person talking too much but he can also, at times, be sharp and wily. Biden is an empty vessel at this point. I can't recall the last time I've seen him speak that didn't make me cringe with embarrassment and pity. This is WEEKEND AT BERNIES as the presidency. Dragging this man around is elder abuse.

As someone who has never not voted Democrat, I am stating emphatically that I will not vote for Biden. Period. End of sentence. "Lesser of two evils" can kiss my ass at this point.

I sense some serious panicking coming from Democratic Party loyalists. The "lesser of two evils" manipulation they use on voters is increasingly losing its potency.

The people still insisting that we must vote for Biden "no matter what" in order to "save democracy" sound almost as demented as Biden himself.

George Carlin explained decades ago how the wealthy business interests are the ones calling the shots. How anybody thinks their voice matters considering the state of things is shocking. Of course, what's even more shocking are the people who think a senile man with one foot in the grave will "preserve democracy." Not to mention the fact that this is the same guy who admitted to "prostituting myself" to big money donors when he was lucid. Biden never met a war he didn't like and a social safety net he didn't want to cut.

I don't want to vote for either or them. I'm just stating that they are both dangerous to our country for different reasons.

I am well aware that a vote for a third party candidate is ultimately a vote for Trump, but that's just something I will have to square in my own conscious.

The establishment wants Nikki Haley for precisely the same reasons she's worst of the lot. If they succeed in pushing Trump out of the way, here comes President Nikki Haley -- even though the people don't like her.

Biden is going to have a hard time being reelected for various reasons including his obvious dementia issues, and Kamala Harris has very low approval stats.

But the way it works is that once Biden secures the nomination, after the convention this summer, the Democratic party can then remove him and place who they want as the nominee with no involvement from the voters. So TPTB are waiting for that.

Bobby Kennedy Jr.'s numbers are pretty good, so his third-party presence could be a threat this time. But the system does all they can to prevent third party candidates from upsetting the apple cart. As a result, RFK Jr is still being denied Secret Service protection even at this late date -- which isn't consistent with protocol (while such protection has just been granted to Nikki Haley, the establishment's favorite, because she's their preferred sociopath).

And given what's been done to the Kennedys, one has to assume that the establishment hopes someone will kill him.

Unfortunately, all of the candidates' Israel policy is utter shit.
