Finally!! It's been years since I watched the first two volumes because I didn't want to get hooked all over again and not be able to watch beyond episode 64.

Apart from the episodes on the first two volumes, it's been well over twenty years since I watched PP, so I'm happy to wait a few months to have some more gloriously remastered episodes.
Is it too soon to start worrying about if the new set will be slipcased?

Volume 3 has arrived, no slipcase unfortunately. And I think this one really needs a slipcase because the dvd box is made of that ridiculous bendable stuff.
Maybe I have a spare sturdy box that can hold 5 DVDs.
Why do they make these things? Plastic is plastic, just because it's soft doesn't make it more eco-friendly, does it?
Anyway, I'm very happy and of course I've pre-ordered volume 4.

Oh - how infuriating. I suppose it has been about a decade since the last ones, but I felt sure Shout! would be good at getting them to match the previous sets on the shelf (as I recall, it was quite a journey to get pristine slipcases for my Volumes One and Two).

I've "done" PP not so long ago, I think I'll wait for more volumes. But I've never seen these episodes in DVD quality.
Is that literally or figuratively speaking? Because it really is a journey and yet Amazon US sends their parcels in flimsy jiffy bags while the Euro Amazons use proper cardboard packaging (which needs no plastic bubbles and therefore: more eco-friendly).

Let's hope there's not another decade before Volume Five arrives.
I was hugely impressed at how good the episodes looked. Certainly it's the best I've seen PP look. Not that I have much to compare it to - just the Sky Soap repeats that I recorded back in the Nineties.
Oh - Amazon UK seem to use the same wafer thin card sleeve for everything. I use them a lot less these days because I can no longer count on something arriving in perfect condition and I can do without the bother of returning an item and then returning the replacements.

But even if we get 3 volumes per year it will take a while to complete the collection.
These are 22 minutes episodes so 32 or 33 episodes per set is not a lot. Ideally, I would have liked 10 sets of 52 episodes (9 discs).
Anyway, I hope we'll also get the colour episodes, it looked so beautiful (and that was just the YouTube video quality).

Well, season 5 has arrived. I think it's going to end with the beginning of Rodney's trial.

Is it due to lack of sales of Vols 3-5 or have they given another reason?

They only stated that there are currently no plans for future DVD releases.
