Carla Connor returns in big Christmas storyline

Coronation Street boss Kate Oates has confirmed a big return for popular character Carla Connor this Christmas as Alison King has signed on the dotted line to reprise the role.

Carla, who was last seen leaving the Street after being shamed at her disastrous wedding to Nick Tilsley for a night of passion with Robert Preston, is set to arrive back with a bang and find herself going to loggerheads with Michelle.

Kate has declared that she doesn’t intend to force Carla back into the destructive cycle of misery that the character became accustomed to but will instead reinvigorate her feisty side.

I knew it wouldn't last, however I hope we do see a different side to Carla the tragic female of the cobbles.

She left because she wanted to get more parts in other things. That didn't happen.

Adam was a lad.
I agree Alison is too good for the show, but she has probably got bills to pay and its better than working in a call centre.

Strange that Jo Joyner is never short of work, perhaps she has a better agent.
