Another classical Hollywood blonde that hasn't received an introduction here yet, is the incomparable Doris Day. This blue-eyed beauty swept her way into America's hearts by being both an accomplished actress and singer. She appeared in close to forty films, but she is perhaps best remembered for her "pioneering" bedroom comedies co-starring Rock Hudson, a trend the comedic duo started with Pillow Talk (1959).
Before Pillow Talk, Day's film career was in a bit of a slump; she hadn't had a mainstream hit in a few years, but the critical and box office success of the 1959 mistaken identity comedy revitalized her career. Its success got her an Oscar nod, and made her America's number-one box office draw. Day and Hudson later teamed together in Lover Come Back (1961) and Send Me No Flowers (1964). She also starred opposite such leading men as James Garner, David Niven, and Rod Taylor in a string of successful farcial romantic comedies.

Her virginal quality was no longer in style, and she withdrew from film making following With Six You Get Eggroll in 1968. Although the series is now better-remembered for its seasonal cast and premise changes, it was a ratings success for a number of years. In more recent years, Day has become a private recluse, known to friends as "Clara Kappelhoff".

I'm a pretty big Doris Day fan, and I enjoy many of her films. My favorite film of hers would probably be Move Over, Darling (1963) she made with James Garner and Polly Bergen. I'm also a fan of her under-appreciated television comedy, The Doris Day Show.

She looks just like she did 50 years ago (although I still buy the 1924 birth year as opposed to 1922).

I'm a big Doris fan. I'm amazed by her vitality and naturally beautiful looks even at 95. She truly oozes positive energy and life.
Day has aged over the years, but slightly. She doesn't look nearly as old as she is, or as old as Betty White, whom was born in 1922.
And why Snark do you side with 1924 as her correct year of birth? Wasn't her birth certificate "discovered" a few years back and it started that 1922 was her year of birth?

No, Doris' face hasn't aged at all. It's weird.

Overall, Doris does still look the same. At least she hasn't overdosed on plastic surgery like Kim Novak has.

I voted for Marilyn. I wish she done more starry roles before her death. I don't believe she reached her full potential acting wise.

She a good career when you look at the directors she worked with and the TV shows she worked on.
She was beautiful in her prime, but I don't think I've ever seen any of her movies.
She had no business being touted as the "next Marilyn", but she did make some good movies, like THE LIEUTENANT WORE SKIRTS and NO DOWN PAYMENT.
She was great in BORN YESTERDAY (1950), and I'm divided or whether or not she really robbed Bette Davis or Gloria Swanson of an Oscar.
The English counterpart to Monroe and Mansfield, but I've yet to see any of her movies. Some of them look interesting, but some are trashy.
