I‘m also really looking forward to watching this.
Does anyone know definitively when it will air on ITV?

All we know so far is that it’ll launch in 2023, first on ITVX then a few months later on ITV1. There’s a longer clip than the one I posted previously as well as a short interview with cast & crew in the link below.I‘m also really looking forward to watching this.

That was my first thought because I remember seeing the first interview she gave after the sacking it was very different. I did wonder whether the recreation was of another interview that she gave which wasn't broadcast. That clip that Helena Bonham-Carter does after she finds out she is sacked is not particularly accurate.
As much as I liked Crossroads, I'm not willing to pay £130 to watch those episodes on DVDs. I suspect this release is to cash in on the renewed attention on Crossroads that the "Nolly" series will generate.
Yes, I’d say it’s no coincidence that it’s being released now but it’s still a good treat for fans looking to relive the Meg era in the most complete form available.I suspect this release is to cash in on the renewed attention on Crossroads that the "Nolly" series will generate.
The only era I rewatched with any consistency was about 2/3 of the year that Nicola Freeman arrived and that was online. I really enjoyed most of it.I watched 3 episodes on ITVX which covered the aftermath of Maureen being run down and ultimately dying. The acting and scripting was first class and all the storylines were interesting. I can't remember how young I was when I first saw these but I reckon I was still in infant school but I might have seen them subsequently on UK Gold because I could remember a lot of what happened.
I’m sure there’s someone on here who’d know the finer details but from what I’ve read, most (if not all) episodes from the Central era of 1982-88 still exist. Prior to that, it’s a bit patchy.Aren't there lots of gaps though, with certain years/periods no longer available?
Was that the year that Nicola's brother Mickey had an affair with Jill? That was a brilliant year for Crossroads and I remember it achieved really high viewing figures. The only era I rewatched with any consistency was about 2/3 of the year that Nicola Freeman arrived and that was online. Possibly but I didn’t see that storyline in the episodes that I watched. Most episodes from March to September 1985 are available, which chart the departures of Glenda and the Hunters (among others), the arrival of Nicola and then finish up just after the armed robbery at the motel. Then there’s a gap until around Christmas. Mickey was definitely on the scene by then (he possibly appeared around September too, as did Nicola’s stepkids) but I’m not sure if he’d started carrying on with Jill. Her marriage to Adam was in choppy waters in the latter part of the summer for sure, after he’d made a pass at Nicola while Jill was in Germany. Was that the year that Nicola's brother Mickey had an affair with Jill? This helps justify the purchase of XRDS: THE NGC I made yesterday (despite the fact that I already own the motel-shaped box-set that came out however many years ago).£130 seems pretty good value for over 700 episodes. That's about the cost of one season (250-ish episodes) of Sons and Daughters.
Oh yeah, this is definitely coming out to complement Nolly, which makes total sense -- when else will Crossroads ever be a hot topic again? I've a friend who's in Nolly and it sounds great, similar in tone to The Road to Coronation Street and An Adventure in Space and Time (the dramatisation of the early days of Doctor Who). RTD interviewed as many of the original surviving cast as he could, some of whom - and I don't know if this is common knowledge so please don't tell anyone - will be making tiny cameo appearances.I suspect this release is to cash in on the renewed attention on Crossroads that the "Nolly" series will generate.

The earlier box set is very compact plus it’s shaped like a motel so it’s un-get rid off-able really. From what I've read, the earlier set has just one episode that's not featured on the new one. The question now is: do you keep both just to have that one episode?
