I’m late because I was reading a book, and had a couple of chapters left to read and I lost track of time while reading.

My doctor told me I’m working too hard so I just decided to stay home and rest a little longer today

I was masquerading as a doctor. Punting some truly dubious advise as if it were Gospel to lazy, work shy malingers. Supporting the angles in the NHS.

The fast food place I went to for breakfast on the way to work messed up my order and I had to go back

I feel asleep on the subway, and went past my station, and had to get another train back.

It was raining and my umbrella broke so I waited until the rain stopped so I’m late.

Wild animals got loose on my street and we were told to stay inside til it was safe

I couldn’t find the building and my phone wasn’t charged so I couldn’t look up the address
