I know this has been discussed before, but it's been a minute. I know that, based on that German website I linked a couple weeks back, I remember reading the original plan was to have Sydney become Angela's new sidekick, so to speak. I also remember reading that Michael Sharpe was going to do something to eliminate all of his enemies or destroy them in the season finale of season 9, or something to that effect, but how he was going to go about this, I don't believe is ever laid out. It's kinda vague. Obviously, these things were outlined early in the season, as you could tell by about 14 episodes in, they were leaning towards the shows likely cancellation, and went in some different directions.
My thoughts would be.. was David Selby not coming back, had there been a season 10? I'm just not real clear on what was meant by "destroy" his enemies. Richard had already started his life over again with season 9, so..is this implying they would have killed him off, or was it that Gregory Harrison wasn't returning..I mean, depending on what is being implied here, would he be able to be a free man, would he be on trial..so many questions. I know the likelihood of any of this actually happening was pretty slim due to the decline of the ratings, but they did have a plan to move forward, at least initially. It may have been fairly sketchy because they didn't really have much faith that the show would turnaround.
I'm sure most here could probably give a toss about it coming back at this point, but it still interesting to ponder how they would have moved it forward.
