# 2.22 "Devil's Advocate":

The residence Jeff wants Fallon and him to move into is a private home located at 875 Stone Canyon Road, Bel Air, CA. The street right before they reach the house (the drive in his Porsche 911) was also shot on Stone Canyon Road.
2.22-02-875StoneCynRd,BelAir.JPG

Very old stock footage from Singapore that was already used on "Dynasty" (in # 3.18 for the first time there): Elgin Bridge in foreground. Camera is facing south. Today's view would feature a lot more skyscrapers. The distinct one on the right with the heavy concrete frame and the three "blocks" of windows is still there. It's the OCBC Bank. I remember it as a bad example of Brutalist architecture from my 2020 trip to Singapore. Fortunately, the city has evolved. Most of the newer highrises are architecturally more creative and more tasteful, making Singapore a very elegant and vibrant city with an interesting cultural mix
2.22-04-Singapore-ElginBridge.JPG

No idea about the shot of the British Consulate in Singapore though. I don't think it's Singapore at all. Does anyone recognize it?
2.22-05-'Singapore'.JPG

Not sure where they filmed the interiors for the British Consulate in Singapore. Any ideas?
2.22-06-'BritishConsulate,Singapore'.JPG

The establishing shots for Maya Kumara's residence are from the White Rainbow Bridge at the Yu Hwa Yuan Chinese Garden in Singapore.
2.22-07-YuHwaYuanChineseGarden-WhiteRainbowBridge,Singapore.JPG

Not 100 % sure, but I think the interiors of Maya Kumara's residence were shot at the Full Moon Tea House in the Japanese Garden of Descanso Gardens (1418 Descanso Drive, La Cañada Flintridge, CA), appropriately dressed by the studio's prop department.

Fallon's new office: 8750 Melrose Avenue, West Hollywood, CA.

# 2.23 "Betrayals":

The scene with Jeff and Jason on the street was filmed on Melrose Place in West Hollywood at the corner of 700 North La Cienega Boulevard, as you can read on the street sign. The camera was facing west.
After they walked for a while, Jeff turns, and we see the distinct store at 8468 Melrose Place in the background of his close-up.
2.23-01-MelrosePl&700NLaCienega,WestHollywood.JPG2.23-02-8468MelrosePl,WestHollywood.JPG

The scene with Monica and Cash in her Mercedes-Benz SL convertible starts at the corner of North Crescent Drive (from where they are coming) and Sunset Boulevard (she turns into it) where The Beverly Hills Hotel is located.
2.23-03-NCrescentDr&SunsetBl,BeverlyHills.JPG

While the earlier scenes at Will Rogers State Historic Park (1501 Will Rogers State Park Road, Pacific Palisades, CA) were outside, this episode features the interiors of the Historic Stable.

# 2.24 "The Dead End":

The Malibu Gun Club was filmed at 28124 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, CA. The structure is still there, but was remodeled and enlarged.
2.24-01-28124PCH,Malibu.JPG

Sable and Philip's lunch was filmed on the patio of Il Cielo at 9018 Burton Way, Beverly Hills, CA. You can even read the restaurant's name on the sign. Il Cielo has been there for decades. It has been a heavily filmed place and still looks pretty much the same today.
2.24-02-9018BurtonWy,BH.JPG

Not sure about the Colby Enterprises parking garage. I assume this might have been on the Paramount Studios lot, but I can't tell if it's a real parking structure or maybe part of the mill or anything else. Does anyone know?
2.24-03-'ColbyEnterprisesParking'.JPG

Frankie at the beach: Paradise Cove (near 28128 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, CA). The later scene with her jumping from the pier was filmed at Paradise Cove Pier.
2.24-04-ParadiseCove,Malibu.JPG

Frankie's motel: The former Casa Malibu poses as itself. The address is 22752 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, CA. The place still exists, but it was beautifully remodeled as the Japanese style Nobu Ryokan Malibu.

# 2.25 "Crossroads":

The establishing shot of LAX shows the real LAX with the distinct Theme Building.
2.25-01-LAX.JPG

Holmby Hills Academy, Scott's school, is portrayed by the main gate of Saddlerock Ranch (whose former main house poses as the Five Oaks Inn in Montecito this episode again). The prop guys exchanged the real sign, but left the real street number intact. Saddlerock Ranch is located at 31727 Mulholland Highway in Malibu Canyon.
2.25-03a-Saddlerock.JPG2.25-03b-Saddlerock.JPG

I'm not sure about the helicopter / car chase scene. Some aerials from the chopper are definitely from Malibu Canyon and the Pacific Ocean, but the ones that focus on the road with the car might be from the Santa Clarita / Newhall area. I strongly suspect Potrero Canyon Road in Stevenson Ranch, CA for the crash site.
Gilles or anybody else, do you know any details?

Not sure where they filmed Fallon in the Mojave Desert. I also think this might be somewhere in the Newhall / Santa Clarita area.
I'm not sure, but I think the street numbers on the street signs might be real. They probably just covered the street names themselves with props since the shade of blue is different in comparison with the small plates with the street numbers. It would be "23800 East" for the cross street and probably "40300 North" for the street where Fallon's car is parked. The first "0" (in italics) is hardly legible; it might as well be "6".
Any more concrete ideas on this location anyone?
2.25-13.JPG2.25-14.JPG2.25-15.JPG

I'll revisit this thread once I find other locations from "The Colbys" I haven't identified yet.

# 2.15 "The Home-Wrecker":

Not sure about the spelling of this episode title. The DVD collection has it hyphenated (like above) while IMDb has no hyphen. Does anyone have any production documents to confirm the way they wrote it?

Not sure where the establishing shot for the Colby Ranch in Eureka — the mountainous scenery — comes from. Maybe stock they shot in Colorado during the "Oil" pilot for "Dynasty"? Just a guess.

The restaurant where Channing and Erskine meet looks familiar to me, but I can't come up with where it was located. Sorry. Does anyone know?

I was able to find the shooting schedule and 2 calls sheets of "The Home-Wrecker" !

The restaurant is actually Lautrec restaurant, 22160 Ventura Blvd. in Woodland Hills. The name of the restaurant has changed to "villa" nowadays (it was also called "Piacere" at some point).

As for the ranch in Eureka, the scenes were shot at Penell Ranch - 1200 Las Virgines road in Calabasas. It's not the location of Constance's funerals unfortunately.

Interesting tidbit : director Curtis Harrington filmed the last scene of the previous episode, "The legacy" (that takes place in Eureka) and not Richard Kinon. Curtis Harrington was not credited though.

One of the call sheets gave the location for the Parker House in the next episode, "Manhunt". It says "Wilton + Franklin". I googled and found that the full address is 1936 N Wilton Place (Los Angeles) : https://www.google.fr/maps/@34.1066...EfOrw5qEg!2e0!5s20070901T000000!7i3328!8i1664

It seems they actually filmed the real interiors of the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery for the Colby Collection.
View attachment 35572

While the establishing shot is from elsewhere, I think the lunch scene with Jason and Frankie was filmed at the Marina Del Rey Hotel at 13534 Bali Way, Marina Del Rey, CA.

You're right about Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery but the restaurant is actually from Marineland of the Pacific.

Dr. Parris' Clinic is stock footage. It's the entrance of the oldest part of the building complex of Leahi Hospital, at 3675 Kilauea Avenue, Honoloulu, Oahu, HI 96816. It was already used on "Dynasty" # 3.13 (Steven's hospital in Singapore) and # 7.14 (Ben's hospital in Hong Kong).
