I wished that, too. The predecessor wasn't very good, but that scene you described is excellent.

Lorenzo's and Billy's playing is equally good in # 004, but the set — as nicely as they tried to build the upper hallways in this very gothic and eerie way — didn't transport the very same ominous atmosphere as the actual upper hall in Villa Miravalle did. Of course, we all now that Spring Mountain's owners refused further filming in the house after the hardwood floors were scratched during filming "The Vintage Years", so Lorimar had to use the set they build for season 1. In my opinion, they should have replicated the upper hall with the stairway window on the sound stage with the landing and the second flight of stairs. It could have been used to create some more dramatic effects.

I'll be honest, no one is really standing out for me as a 'favourite'.
If I had to choose, the most interesting for me are Lance and Emma at this stage.

I'm afraid the scriptwriting in this show is nowhere near as tight as Dallas and KL.
Take this business with The Globe shares, the split in equity from Douglas was 50% to Richard, and 25% to Julia and Emma. So where are all these other shares coming from that Angela is buying up?

It depends. If Douglas was a shareholder or even a major shareholder then there were still other shares out there.
Unless it was specifically stated that he was the only shareholder (in which case the word "shareholder" doesn't even apply anymore because there's nothing to share between one person).
Funny.

It was never implied that Douglas was the sole owner. It is a corporation, and Douglas was the major shareholder, so said percentages of his shares went to his children only, but not the whole corporation.

Here's the thing about FC: It usually connects the dots... not always lol BUT it has the audacity to just chug along, change direction whenever it deems it necessary, and undo everything.

It took a little while for FC to click with me; the super quick scenes, the dozens of storylines that never seemed to intercede for the most part, the rewrites at whim.... It doesn't always make sense but it has balls and you just... accept it and go along with it. It has its very own, unique identity.

DALLAS and KL made sense and connected the dots. DYNASTY almost never did. FC did whatever it wanted.

Collins especially-- when Fallon was in the gallery as the unknown figure got up to the witness stand (I believe that was on the second-season premiere), she had one of the best reveal lines in all of television: "Oh, my God, that's my mother...".

I always thought The Globe a publicly listed company so at some point in its history some of its shares would have been put on the market and the company floated on the stock exchange. Typically when companies do this, owners keep a majority shareholding so they can retain control of the company and the shares sold are purely for raising money or to enable existing investors to liquidise some of the money they have in the company.

For example, Douglas could have owned 75% of the company and 25% were traded on the stock market. Richard got 50% of Douglas's shares which would have been 37.5% of the shares overall and Emma and Julia would each have inherited 18.75% of the company (equivalent to 25% of Douglas's shares). Small shareholders wield very little power on their own, so Richard's 37.5% share would be enough to control the company.

When Angela was buying up shares, she would have been purchasing them on the open market.

What's changing? I'm not sure what kind of version (maybe a foreign one with manipulated main titles?) you are watching.

The original version has two versions of the main title in season 2 only:
- Version 1 used between # 019 <2.01> and 027 <2.09> with the cast title cards in the same style of season 1 (each actor's card with the supered name followed by a multi-picture combo).
- Version 2 used between # 028 <2.10> and 040 <2.22> with the multi-picture combo being replaced by location footage as transitions between the cast cards; and a change in Lorenzo's likeness on his title card.

We have not seen any details in the production documents about why these changes were made.
