She had a podcast show and a few weeks ago had mentioned that things were not looking good and was undertaking a new chemo regimen. Once she said that, I sadly knew that the end was coming :(

I am really sad to hear this.:( I have watched her on tv since I was about 12. Beverly Hills 90210 was really popular at that time so everybody watched it and talked about it the next day at school. I also watched Little House on the Prairie in reruns about the same time. Anyway Brenda was my favorite 90210 character and the show was never the same after she left for London.

I listened to a couple of Shannens podcast episodes earlier this year. I think she was so brave about her cancer battle. It's sad but not unexpected it ended like this.
Cancer really sucks and it affects everyone, the person who gets it and their loved ones. I want to offer my condolances to Shannen's family, friends, co-stars and fans.

I especially think of her mother and also of SMG since she was one of her best friends.

Rest in peace Shannen you'll be missed. :rip:

Why does it not make it any easier when you knew it was coming? I guess we all were hoping for a miracle. Of course she will always be known best for her iconic role on 90210 but I tend to remember her more as that young girl on Little House. 53 years old is so tragic and it certainly puts things in perspective. Life is way too short.

I liked those early seasons of 90210 and Charmed. I hear she had a reputation behind the scenes but she added a certain zest to her roles, especially Charmed. Once she was let go I gave up on the series as it became silly.

The thing with Shannen is that she rarely felt the need to defend herself - often she got maligned but what does that matter? f**k them.

And yes, that's why she's a bad bitch. As she got sick she started to realise - hey, maybe it's time to adress things. But at that point, maybe it was too late?

Shannen, Shannen, Shannen. She keeps popping up in my mind. She's one of the best - I remember my sister having a poster of hers on the wall, everyone wanted to be Brenda Walsh. Then her giddingly telling me Brenda från Najn-Åh-Två-Vån-Åh was in Charmed at the end of the 90s. Few have that.
