It's all about the money...
I used to be a fan of Maher's, but he's become increasingly insufferable over the years. He's clearly not used to the kind of pushback that Bill Burr gave him either. Two American comics, The Two Bills (stupid Maher and smarter Burr), spar over Gaza on Maher's Club Random podcast -- discussed here by Jimmy Dore & Co.:
Breaking Points addresses it, too:
I see a lot of Maher's Club Random show (as well as his weekly Real Time show) but it's sometimes hard to get through it: Maher always does all the talking, answers (usually wrongly) his own questions, his guests are always a prop, he thinks he's waaay smarter than he actually is, pretends every five seconds that he's cutting through the bullshit (when he's usually adding to it), and simply has no control over himself at all.
Yeah, he gets the "woke" stuff correct (more or less) and wants a different Democratic nominee in 2024 other than geriatric-demented Biden -- but those things are easy to get straight (although not for everybody). But most of Maher's pro-establishment attitudes, spat out every few seconds, is exhausting.
At least Maher's getting roasted across the Internet for the way he handles his "interview" with Bill Burr.

Maher sounds indistinguishable from Ben Shapiro at this point. They both call out woke culture and they recognize Biden's a disaster, but they also believe that supporting Palestinians is the same as supporting Hamas. The intellectually lazy "stop attacking Israel" line ignores the fact that Israel stole Palestinian land and kicked thousands of Palestinians out of their home. Maher had a similar exchange with Russell Brand over the Ukraine War. Brand tried pushing back against Maher's claim that Russia's invasion of Ukraine was "unprovoked," but Maher overpowered him. Thankfully, Burr didn't give an inch when Maher tried doing the same thing to him. It's interesting how old school liberals like Maher have become the thing they used to hate. In contrast, far-right figures such as Tucker Carlson and Alex Jones have emerged as the modern-day anti-war voices. It's incredibly strange seeing how the views of people on the left and right have shifted so drastically.
So many people have been propagandized to the point that they're incapable of critical thinking. That's why "conspiracy theory" is used so loosely these days. The biggest coincidences are just accepted, and anybody who's skeptical of them is considered a nut job. As Bill Hicks used to say, "Go back to bed America, your government is in control."Iran's president just died in a helicopter crash due to fog. So why is Amy Schumer's uncle already assuring us that there's "no foul play" this soon?
Can't be good.
Anyway, the October 7th attacks have all the signs of being a false flag and have from day one. Although I'm receptive to arguments to the contrary.
Apparently, Israel has now attacked Iran directly -- in response to Iran's response a couple of days ago (to the attack on its consulate in Syria -- an act of war to begin with) of slow-motion drones, easily shot down (unlike the supersonic missiles Iran could have used) and aimed at military targets in Israel (and not civilian ones) as a "warning" Israel has chosen not to respect.
Really?I'm receptive to arguments to the contrary.
Really?
Well, for one thing, are you saying that the hostages are being held by the Israelis themselves?Sure. Gimme yer wisdoms.

Egyptian intelligence say they warned Israel 10 days in advance that something big was going to happen with Hamas, but Israel didn't seem interested.
Did somebody want something to happen? --- these things just can't be ruled out. Iran supposedly funds Hamas (and Hamas was originally an Israeli group) and who funds Iran?
Yes, it's well documented now. That "conspiracy theorist in his basement" Jimmy Dore brought an investigative journalist on his show to discuss it.And Israel received multiple warnings in advance that the October 7th attacks were imminent. And once it happened, Israel has taken full advantage of it and gone way overboard with relish against the citizens of Gaza.

October 7 Bombshell Drops! w/ Ben Swann
I get it, but it's a campaign tactic that both camps are using. The intent is to make the other side seem directly responsible for what's taking place.I agree that she can't have it both ways - be part of the decisions and take no responsibilty - but Vance's repeated references to "the Harris administration" take it way too far.
