How many seasons would you like to have seen nuDALLAS run?

Dallas would have worked best as a limited episode per season run and returning every 5 years or so. As @Frank Underwood suggests, 15 episodes is a good number without taxing the viewer. We all know the ratings for TNT Dallas premiere episode were impressive but viewers quickly cottoned on this was Dallas in name only and not what they/we expected.

In capable hands and a deep understanding of its history I see Dallas working as a mini series; it returns every 5 years or so with about 15 episodes to chew on. Keep the audience wanting more. Ideas for a Dallas continuation has to focus primarily on the Ewing family; Bobby, Sue Ellen, John Ross, Lucas, Margaret and whatever happened to baby Ewing (Cally's Son).

Dallas was gonna get cancelled once Larry passed. It was either gonna be in season 3 or 4 latest. But they got cancelled right away after season 3. I would say I would have liked to see it go on one more season. It ended badly. They could have just wrapped it up at the end of season 2, or even 3, but they believed in gambling for renewal. That's the problem with these area based nighttime soaps. At least Dallas lasted more than 1 season!

I've completed season 2 now but don't think I can be bothered with the final season...think I might give Dynasty a rewatch instead
I only watched bits and pieces of the final season. My interest had really started to wane by this point.

I think one more season would have been enough to close it up. Cidre messed it all up at the end of season 3. She should have closed it up. Instead, she messed more stuff up with those last 2 scenes.

She gambled and failed spectacularly. I'm astonished someone granted her all that money to create the fireball to distinguish a Ewing. For long time Dallas fans we were let down again and it's now up to us to create our own continuation. Did Christopher survive or not?

Yes, he survived because the Cidre universe wasn't really Dallas. Such a shame, really. A real missed opportunity. If only they had found a show runner that had watched the show or cared about it. It wasn't all bad, in fact there are certain aspects that are good enough to make me frustrated over the fact that it wasn't handled better.

It was bad. Wasn't that scene added in at the last minute? That wasn't originally going to happen or something but then they filmed it and it was bad...and the annoying high pitched screeching old TV sound (that used to happen to the glass TV screens at times as they were turned on when they were ready to be tossed out) after it happened, just as Elena gets up from the explosion. Maybe it had to be there. But it was annoying as hell and still makes me think the device I'm watching it on needs to be repaired or tossed out!
