For reasons that are not relevant to this thread I watched some clips of THE NEON DEMON (2016) on the youtube.
While the focus is on the female actors I was kinda blown away by Kevin Costner's performance and not just because it looked very good; after all, KC has been very good in many other films even though I didn't particularly love those films.
No, it was about something else, something very different from what he had done before, as if he had (snake-wise) removed the skin of the earnest and wholesome All-American type he used to play.
The second surprise was about the literal part of "skin" because he looks like the 20th century Kevin Costner. Could be an extreme example of CGI enhancement?

Assuming this was filmed in 2015 (as opposed to being released in 2016) then there's still only a 3 year's gap between this and YELLOWSTONE.
Even if one lives a horrible and unhealthy lifestyle - which I'm sure Kevin doesn't - is it humanly possible to age that much within a three-year lifespan? Yes, it is possible but that only applies to certain diseases.
I checked THE NEON DEMON on IMDB and I couldn't find any connection with Kevin Costner. What the devil is going here? Was the painkiller I had taken earlier that evening laced with LSD? And just when I was about to post an angry and violent comment on these youtube clips ("am I really the only one who has something to say about KC's looks? What's WRONG with you people??") it suddenly dawned on me, in a moment of divine clarity, that this actor may not be Kevin Costner after all.
To say that I felt disappointed would be the understatement of the year.
