Has anyone been watching The Bay S2 on ITV, Im quite enjoying it and it features lots of actors who have been in different dramas, Scottish actors not talking in a Scottish accent and i recognised 2 from Corrie days of old

Julia haworth - who was married to Ashley Peacock RIP and someone who played Maddie although Sawphee Webster called her Muddy and she got killed off, cant remember how tho

I have no idea who did the dirty deed so I will need to keep tuned!!

There is just one thing thats off putting.
The lead detective looks like the Office's David Brent aka Mr Gervais!

Who is in the cast of The Bay series 2?

DC Lisa Armstrong - Morven Christie

Back to lead the cast again is Morven Christie as the disgraced DC Lisa Armstrong, who landed herself in trouble in the first series and will be trying to rebuild her career.

Scottish actress Christie is well-known to British audiences with a whole host of credits to her name including Grantchester, The A Word, Twenty Twelve, Ordeal By Innocence and more.
Reflecting on where audiences will find her character in season two, Christie teased: “Lisa is just a single mum who's pushed her way through and at the point that we find her in series two, she's made some really heavy mistakes and she's paying for it.
“She's in quite a vulnerable place. She’s got no money and her professional life is in a really precarious state because she's on probation.

“There's doubt around whether she'll ever be able to claw her way back up to her previous role.”
Christie went on to say how the scripts were “very different” in the new series and the crime would be the focus rather than the characters.
The star added: “Series two has a lot of players, all of whom you could consider being involved. Lisa is like a comfy outfit for me, when I got the first block scripts it was like sinking back into an armchair.”

DI Anthony ‘Tony’ Manning - Daniel Ryan

Returning to the show will be Daniel Ryan as DI Anthony ‘Tony’ Manning, who will be leading the investigation while dealing with the breakdown of his own marriage.
Ryan’s most prominent projects to date have included ITV’s Home Fires, Cold Call and Mount Pleasant.

DS Ahmed ‘Med’ Kharim - Taheen Modak

Taheen Modak will again be donning the mantle of DS Ahmed ‘Med’ Kharim, who has had to step up after Lisa was demoted.
The Bay is perhaps Modak’s biggest role to date but he has also starred in Sky’s comedy-drama Two Weeks to Live, Five Dates, Ruthless and Van der Valk.

Penny Armstrong - Lindsey Coulson

Lindsey Coulson is yet another returning cast member as Penny Armstrong, who will find herself struggling to adjust after Lisa is demoted and her home life is changed by this.

King is a rising star, who has featured in TV series Clique and Doctors as well as the movies Darkest Hour and A Private War.

Rob Armstrong - Art Parkinson

Art Parkinson resumes his role as Lisa’s teenage son Rob Armstrong who will see him getting an unpleasant blast from the past which could cause him problems.
The Irish actor is most well-known for his role as Rickon Stark in Game of Thrones but he has also featured in San Andreas, Dracula Untold and Lose, Rosie.

Andy Warren - Joe Absolom

The versatile Joe Absolom joins the cast of The Bay for season two as absent husband and father Andy Warren, who is looking to build bridges in Morecambe after almost a decade away.
From A Confession to Doc Martin, Absolom has taken on a range of roles with other projects including The Level, Personal Affairs and Hatfields & McCoys.

Bill Bradwell - James Cosmo

James Cosmo takes on working-class hero and solicitor Bill Bradwell, a local man who has done well but his choices will cause him problems in the series.
Cosmo has had an impressive career which has included Game of Thrones, His Dark Materials, Hold the Sunset as well as Hollywood movies Braveheart, Highlander and Troy, among others.

Stephen Marshbrook - Stephen Tompkinson

Stephen Tompkinson plays the hardworking if ruthless Stephen Marshbrook, who puts work before his family.
Tompkinson joins The Bay after roles in DCI Banks, Trollied, The Split, Ballykissangel, and Brassed Off.

Rose Marshbrook - Sharon Small

Sharon Small plays Stephen’s wife Rose Marshbrook, who has stuck by him despite his flaws.
Small’s most recent credits include Flesh and Blood, London Kills, The Accidental Medium and Trust Me.
Other cast members include Leo Ashton, Steven Robertson, Sunetra Sarker, Jack Archer, Arian Nik and Theo Anvari, among others.

I’ve seen adverts for the current series which look really good, I’m adding it to our list.

I’m curious to see Julia Hayworth, I thought she was a cracking actress by the end of her time on Corrie

yes Im enjoying it too - poor old Steven Tompkinson didnt need to learn too much script did he??

It makes me want to go to the Seaside - have no idea who did it yet!!
No idea either but with the weather we’re used in the U.K. especially in the northwest they’ve touched lucky with their filming as it’s always very sunny!
