Jimmy Carter now a centenarian

There are a lot of songs that people get a general vibe from while being quite ignorant of what the lyrics actually say.

I know it's about the prospect of world peace, unity, and selflessness, which is fitting for Carter. However, imaging there's no religion or afterlife doesn't seem quite as fitting.

That said, I've since read that Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood were friends with Carter. I also read that Carter was a fan of the song, so perhaps he was able to reconcile the lyrics about there being no religion because he approved of the song's overall message. He was certainly a more progressive Christian than right-wing evangelicals are.

I understood that Dubya was a little jealous of Bill's relationship with his father - but maybe that's just gossip.

I got that impression as well.

Rumors are flying that the Obamas are on the fast-track heading towards a divorce... How many First Couples get divorced after leaving the White House?

I do recall a few years ago seeing Michelle assert, at some kind of presentation for women, that, "Sometimes, we're too nice to our men."

So, yea, she's a biological woman.

Rumors are flying that the Obamas are on the fast-track heading towards a divorce... How many First Couples get divorced after leaving the White House?

Interesting. Not only was Michelle absent from Carter's funeral, but she's also skipping Trump's inauguration. Hillary Clinton's not a Trump fan, and even she's attending.

The Obamas have come out and said the divorce rumors aren't true, but I doubt they'd confirm them regardless unless it was set in stone.

She also lectured men during the presidential campaign, saying "women will become collateral damage to your rage." The lack of self-awareness on her part is staggering.
