Did you enjoy Richard's stepdaughter Lorraine Prescott? Would you have liked if she came back in season 5, instead of killing her off. Lance seemed to get over Lorraine very quickly, moving onto Apollonia.

Around that time, any logical timing of grief did not fit in the storylines. IMO, they moved it for Lance so quickly because he never was used to true love but being the macho latino type of lover and grieving over a girl was never meant for him. Let me remind you of the non-grief he felt for Terry when Michael died, he flirted with her on the day of his funeral. He was never meant to feel hurt. Apart from Melissa´s death, he never felt such pain again. Or was it for Dina? How did that end? I forgot.

Kate Vernon is a good actress but she wasn't a good match for Lorenzo Lamas; she may have been a better match for Billy Moses.

Lorraine was a sweet character but she was no pushover. In the beginning Richard was very protective, of her. He soon realised she was going to see Lance, come hell or high water. Eventually Richard and Lance had to both bring down the wall they had put up between each other, when the decision on life support had to be made. However when all is said and done I agree Lorraine might have been better suited to Cole. I doubt the tragic fall in Chinatown would have happened, had she been seeing the Gioberti lad.

I watched the episode last night when Lorraine first appears. There is scene at the club when Angela and Lance meet her and they are circling like vultures. Too funny
I got all 9 seasons on a USB drive recently so I am super excited to revisit these episodes I haven’t watched in decades. 80s technology is hilarious too.

I liked Lorraine but she wasn't really Falcon Crest enough because she was a bit bland. However, I don't really think she was meant to be interesting as she seemed to be introduced primarily to create situations for Lance and Richard to respond to and to create friction between those 2 characters. Her time on the show was well spent and I liked a lot of her scenes with Lance and Richard.

Sarah could not stand Kate Vernon, and their feud came to a nasty climax towards the end of season 4… But the origin of the quarrel started at the beginning of the 1984-85 season during location filming in the Napa Valley: David Selby went out with Kate in San Francisco — after telling Sarah he would have to go back to Los Angeles that day. When Sarah found out he had lied to her because he just did not want her to come along, she was sore. Sarah got her chance for revenge: When the producers decided to kill off Kate’s character, Lorraine, towards the end of season 4, Sarah told Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show on NBC that Kate Vernon was soon going to die on
Falcon Crest and should best be buried in a Y-shaped coffin because the actress’ legs were like a “Y” — always wide open for anyone… — alluding to the fact that Kate did not have a very good reputation on the set because she was a promiscuous girl. Sarah was fired after that faux-pas.

Wow, she actually said that on television?
In a recent interview, no it was more like one of those vlogs, Sarah admitted that the 80s was a wild time for them so it's possible that they used to be a little less nuanced, so to speak, but this comment seems uncharacteristically crude. Even if it was referring to the character rather than the actress.
But if you're quoting it from a factual source then I guess it must be true.
However, it kinda puzzles me that you're the only one who has all the dirt on these actors (except for David Selby) and everything that went on behind the scenes.
It would be helpful if you could provide some links when making these comments, and of course I don't mean wikipedia or any kind of second-hand information.

This isn't true. The only time Sarah Douglas appeared on The Tonight Show while she was on Falcon Crest was when Joan Rivers was guest hosting and she never even mentioned Kate Vernon, let alone made the nasty comments you attributed to her. What is your source for this story because I don't believe it?

That's a very nice thing to say of Arnold Schwarzenegger, and maybe he is a very good kisser.
