Lost Crossroads episodes found in ITV vault

Lost episodes of Birmingham-based TV soap Crossroads will be shown for the first time in 50 years.

It was thought the programmes had been wiped after broadcast, but they were found in an ITV vault in Leeds by Kaleidoscope - an organisation that specialises in locating missing television footage.

The footage will now be aired at Birmingham City University on Saturday 2 September as part of Kaleidoscope's K-2.9.17 event.

Yes, that was Vera, Carney and Shughie but I don't remember an actor called Mark Colleano but I'm sure you're correct.

They need to screen these episodes, and others, on TV again although maybe they would only appeal to people around my age with a lasting affection for the show.

I have always remembered his name as my mum used to say his father was an american actor called Bonar Colleano and he died young in a car crash.

i think i last saw Mark in an episode of only fools and horses, playing a boyfriend, in the episode when Del went sky diving!
