Mick is not real and only exists as a result of plots in a soap script. To say that he wouldn't do something, when he is actually doing it, is hardly worth the effort. He IS doing it so, therefore, he would do it.
I know he is not real but if we go by that logic characters could go out and do anything. Characters still have a personality and this is against Mick's.
But his personality is only created through the writers and they have created this storyline. You are talking as if we knew him before he was appeared in Eastenders. Nearly all soap characters have multiple personality disorder because they are in plot driven storylines. I appreciate your point, but we all know what is going on. It's cheap and badly written, basically.
Arthur Fowler would never have cheated on Pauline, but he did. It was unthinkable that Sheila Grant would go to bed with Billy Corkhill in Brookside, but she did. And those are two of the best soap storylines I can remember.
