I saw the headlines on my news feed and read it wrong, I thought it was saying Paul was in mourning after losing a loved one, then when I put the news on it hit me that it was Paul himself that had passed away. I knew he had had trouble with his heart, but even so, this is a real shocker and 67 is no age to go.

He was a great entertainer both as Lily Savage and himself. I watched his chat show religiously and was lucky to see him starting in PRISONER CELL BLOCK H: THE MUSICAL back in the 90s.

Very sad to hear this news.

Sadly, I never got to see this although I believe he was a good friend of Maggie Kirkpatrick who played the freak and who appeared as a guest on his television talk show several times.

RIP Paul O Grady and treated dreadfully by Radio 2 - (yet another one ) and enjoyed his tea time show on a sunday until he was forced to share it with someone dreadfully awful and unfunny (yes i mean Rob Beckett)

Believe he had signed a contract with Boom Radio

I physically cried when I heard this morning. Paul was an incredible man and Lilly Savage was just a sublime creation - the Audience with Liily is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

He will be sorely missed x

He does a good podcast with Josh Widdecombe which used to be one of the most popular in the UK until to became a Spotify exclusive earlier this year.
