I found it very moving, emotional and I cried all the way through. I just need to hear Elgars Nimrod and thats me. And I also want Jerusalem at my own funeral.
From seeing the horse and carriage with his goves, scarf neatly folded on the front seat to the Land Rover hearse pull up, I was visbly moved.
Hearing the National Anthem play for the Queen and for her to get out - looking so frail and alone, made me cry She is an amazing lady with such strength, courage and fortitude but it must have been the hardest of all days and Im glad the cameras didnt intrude too much on her private grief
What a wonderful, moving service - I felt so much for our beloved Queen sitting on her own, but I think Prince Philip would have approved of the service. A very moving, simple and fitting service to remember a life well lived and served. RIP Prince Philip - So proud to be British, proud of the Royal family on a very tough day and proud of our Armed Forces (of which both my parents served in the RAF)
Heartbreaking photo, I just wanted someone to hug her and hold her close, take her hand, put an arm around her shoulder - She always keeps her composure but her heart must be breaking - 73 years of marriage is pretty remakable in this day and age and having known at 13 that you had met the man you were going to spend your life with is a remarkable love story.
The biggest and most poignant funeral i attended was for that of my mum. I cant begin to imagine having to sit on my own, no arm round my back, a squeeze of my hand to show support. For me this is the image that sums up 2021 and Covid and proving that the Royals and everyone else are in the same boat.
It was a wonderful service, the weather was great, the Military did him proud and the 4 singers were fab as was the lone piper at the end - No one does a big occasion quite like us IMHO.
Long live Our Wonderful Queen
