Never should have been there in the first place. It was a proven illegal war. Wonder where Dumbya is hiding?

Yes. Whoever was behind 9/11… the Bush administration backed by poodle Blair, decided to invade Afghanistan to prove a point. ILLEGALLY. Not Bidens fault. Bush and Blair. Walking free unlike the millions of people they saw killed.

In my opinion Biden has just been left with a complete pile of crap to pick up after some of his predecessors but for me the buck stops with Bush.

As I said before, Bush shares the bulk of responsibility for the Afghanistan war because his administration pushed for it. That said, every member of the House and Senate that voted for the war shares at least some of the responsibility as well, and that includes Biden. Bernie Sanders is the most progressive Senator, and even he voted for it. The only member of Congress to vote against it was Barbara Lee, and she received death threats for it. It took courage for her to stand up to the military industrial complex like that.

You never hear this in mainstream media, but Obama was arguably a bigger war monger than Bush. He increased the number of troops in Afghanistan, took the US from two wars to seven, had a "kill list," and drone bombed children. One could argue that Biden's not responsible for that because he was only VP, but he didn't seem to mind being a part of a staunchly pro-war administration. Biden's also illegally bombed Syria and Somalia, so pulling out of Afghanistan has nothing to do with him developing a conscience. I'm glad he pulled the troops out of Afghanistan regardless of his reasons, but he still has blood on his hands. The same goes for all of the other pro-war presidents before him.

If the Bush family are so friendly with the Bidens and the Obamas more so, they should be coming forward and speaking out for their parts in this too.

Initially Bush invaded Afghanistan to get Osama Bin Laden but over time he expanded the reasons why he was there to the point where no one was quite sure what the mission was.

Trump negotiated a deal with the Taliban committing the USA to withdraw by the end of August so Biden inherited a bad situation and made a mess of it. However, he was right to end the war and withdraw US troops.

We had a similar situation in the UK when only a handful of Members of Parliament voted against the invasion, including people like Jeremy Corbyn, John MacDonald and Diane Abbott, and they were vilified by the media and by the warmongers in Parliament. I always felt that history would show that the few were right to oppose military action and it's taken tens of thousands of lives and trillions of US dollars for many others to question whether the invasion was worth it.
