I joked to some others that the candy corn icon might end up making people flee the site, given how disgusting and repellant candy corn is. At best, it might make others reluctant to post, since touching those things with our cursors might initiate the gag reflex.

I've never encountered candy corn, so whenever I see the icon I just see Welsh mascot Mistar Urdd.

The manufacturers have even tried to branch out. They manufacture the same garbage replacing the orange stripe with brown, then market it around Christmas as "Reindeer Corn". Someone ought to notify the UN and have them hauled before court in the Hague.

One comic joked that candy corn tastes like "plastic sweetened with Splenda" (or words to that effect).

I have run a across a brand, however (I think, "Zachary's"??) made "with mello-creme" --- whatever that is.... And it actually tastes the way candy corn looks like it ought to taste, but usually doesn't.

In any event, I still can't really eat it unless I want my legs to fall off.
