I think its safe that most everyone would not be okay with an Abby recast. Donna made that role after all....That's plausible, sure, but I wouldn't be alright with an Abby recast. That would've been a definite turn off.

I liked The Seduction right up until the end where I feel it falls a bit flat. The movie is very aesthetically pleasing however so I've actually watched it more than once. She has not done anything terribly significant in the theatrical realm, as in theatrical motion pictures, either. I know she starred in The Seduction back in the early 1980s. Even though the film was not a critical or financial success, Academy Award-winning actress Bette Davis was apparently a fan of Fairchild's work in the film, and even sent her a letter congratulating her work. She's showed up in other movies, of course, but nothing that one could really write home about.
I wonder how average viewers of a certain age (not die-hard soap or TV fans like in this forum) see Morgan Fairchild? Do they know her name or just her face? And what series do they associate Morgan with? I think she will be associated to soaps, but do people know which ones?Morgan Fairchild has had a curious, impressive career. She's worked regularly for decades, without finding any particular success.
Sadly I think most younger viewers now only know her as Abby on Knots Landing. I notice I have to keep trying to explain the difference between Morgan Fairchild and Donna Mills back in the 80sI wonder how average viewers of a certain age (not die-hard soap or TV fans like in this forum) see Morgan Fairchild? For which I was extremely disappointed.Jordan didn't make it passed the end of Season 5.

Morgan Fairchild has had a curious, impressive career. She's much more than "famous for being famous", and yet not famous for anything specific. She's worked regularly for decades, without finding any particular success. She's known for being beautiful but honestly I'm not even sure if she's actually beautiful or a splendid construction of hair and makeup.
She made her debut in 1970 and is still working, having outlasted far more talented and beautiful contemporaries; so she did something right.
Morgan Fairchild is an intelligent, nice person and a professional
Morgan Fairchild talks about General Hospital:
At the end of the article, Morgan says: "It’s fun to see the way daytime has changed over the decades. The stories are so interesting and more diverse with their casting; now it looks like real America."![]()
