President Trump's Disapproval Rating Just Hit Another High
59% of voters currently disapprove of his performance.
  • As President Trump finds himself embroiled in headlines about possible collusion between his campaign associates and Russia during the 2016 campaign, his disapproval rating have yet again rocketed to their all-time high.
  • As of June 11, 59% of voters disapprove of the job Trump is doing as President, according to the Gallup daily tracking poll, while just 36% approve.
  • The last time the president’s disapproval rating was at 59% in the Gallup poll was on March 28, the day he signed an executive order to begin undoing environmental regulations from the Obama era.
  • That same day, his Gallup approval rating reached an all-time low of 35%.
  • The latest numbers come after former FBI Director James Comey, who Trump unexpectedly fired last month, testified before Congress that Trump had asked him for total loyalty and requested he halt any investigations into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. Trump subsequently took to Twitter, calling Comey “very cowardly.”
  • The daily tracking poll is based on telephone interviews with 1,500 adults across the country. The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Rich elites are also part of that 36%. They'll always support Trump since they're the only people who benefit from his administration. As for the rest? Yes, extremely batshit crazy and deluded.

Trump Triumphantly Tweets 50 Percent Approval Numbers from Rasmussen Poll
The Rasmussen numbers are notably higher than those of any other poll.
  • If there’s one thing that’s been consistent since the campaign, it’s Donald Trump’s obsession with poll numbers, especially those that have to do with his approval rating. He was the least-popular president-elect in modern history back in January, and he had a dismal approval rating after his first 100 days—the lowest of any president since Dwight Eisenhower. But that hasn’t stopped Trump from finding a poll that suits him.
  • On Friday morning and again on Sunday, the President tweeted the results of the Rasmussen Poll, which gives him a 50 percent approval rating. “That’s higher that [Obama’s] in #’s!” he made sure to note.
  • This number stands in stark contrast to the results of other polls that have come out, and is in fact higher by at least eight percentage points than any other rating. Real Clear Politics puts Trump’s approval rating at 40 percent, taking an average from a number of polls including Rasmussen, Gallup (39 percent), CNBC (37 percent), and Quinnipiac (34 percent).
  • The Atlantic’s senior editor David Frum jokingly noted on Twitter that alerting Trump to this unusually high poll was perhaps a ploy by White House insiders to distract him from firing special counsel Robert Mueller, who has taken over the Russia investigation.
  • On Sunday morning, Marco Rubio told CNN’s State of the Union that “That’s not going to happen,” when asked if Trump had any plans to fire Mueller or deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein.
