The UK Conservative Government who like to boast about their vaccine rollout, threw away 600,000 covid vaccines that poorer countries have been desperate to get their hands on. Boris Johnson's policy of hoarding vaccine supplies to prevent other countries from buying them has been a costly waste not just in money but potentially in lives. Oxfam said it was "disgraceful" that doses were destroyed while health workers on the front line in poorer countries remained unprotected against Covid-19.
