It is, looks to be a Great Blue Heron. I wonder what he was looking for. It must have known fish was for dinner on the nest.Another bird has taken a liking to the nest. Does anyone know what kind of bird this is?

It looks very elegant and more like a water-type bird to me, but what do I know?![]()
I think that might be one of the last photos of all three together we will see (hope I'm wrong). The visits to the nest are becoming less and less now.Wow, they are all there together!
Oh so that's what it was , thanks Michelle. It looked like some sort of dinosaur to me with its extra long legs and neckIt is, looks to be a Great Blue Heron. I wonder what he was looking for. It must have known fish was for dinner on the nest.
.Yes they really are. Other birds and wildlife are often curious about the nest, its great to see them. The visitors are always fun to see.

I will miss this group. Hopefully something becomes of the Liberty and Freedom nest later this year. Thanks Michelle, I love posting about those amazing eagles, they never ever bore me.What a great summary of this season @Long Lashes
Me too, I'm trying to get out of the habit of checking the nest several times a day ... because usually their is no one there anymore.I will miss this group.

I hope so too, I've missed see them this season.Hopefully something becomes of the Liberty and Freedom nest later this year.
Those cleaners look so tiny compared to the eagles. One eagle can sit on that branch and here we have four starlings with room for more.
Thanks for posting. Can't explain why but nice to see.notice how Lipstick (on the left) gives Guy a little peck on his head
They are still visiting there everyday its greatGuy and Lipstick never left the nest it seems.

Lipstick and Guy's nest has had an imposter visiting this week ..

Who could it be?
![]()
It looks like a juvenile eagle to me....
...and going by this chart perhaps about 2 - 3 years old?
![]()
.. which could mean the visitor is either Curly, Larry or Mo from Lipstick and Guy's 2021 eggs.
Of course it might just be a complete stranger, although I'm amazed that Lipstick or Guy didn't make a swift appearance to chase it off.
So I like to think its one of the eaglets from 2021 visiting their childhood home![]()
