What's wrong with Michelle's voice? She sounds like she has dentures that don't fit correctly, and her voice sounds lower.

I listened to the first two. It was interesting, and so wonderful to hear from them, but they seem to be covering ground that has already been covered elsewhere. I’d be more interested in behind the scenes info we haven’t already heard about.

I dipped into a couple of episodes. It's more like a not-as-irritating version of Loose Women than it is a podcast about Knots. One ep opened with an eleven minute discussion of JvA's cataracts, which kind of reminded me of those old Hello or OK! magazine multi-page photo spreads of Linda Gray's "beautiful new kitchen". No offence to Linda Gray, but I'm not even that interested in my own kitchen. And I'm not really interested in anyone's cataracts. I guess I'm more interested in JvA etc as actors (primarily, in relation to Knots) than as people, or at least the celebrity-version of people they present themselves as in public.

Even though I preferred Knots as a series, I'd say Melrose Place wins the battle of the soap podcasts because MP's is much more focused on the show itself. It's a bit like when they did those "real-life" soap reunion shows about twenty years ago; Dynasty's felt the most relaxed and spontaneous and Knots Landing's the most stagey and fake, even though Knots itself had been easily the most naturalistic and believable of the prime-time soaps back in the day.

In Episode 12 of the podcast, the Abster herself mentions she has watched my Top 10 Abby-Karen Scenes and... she didn´t remember she had been slapped by Pollyanna!!

There's a new interview with the three ladies.


The first ten minutes are pretty pointless. Donna Mills is having problems with her connection, and it drags. In general, the sound is unfortunately a bit disturbing. For whatever reason, the actual interview begins with questions about the finale. From minute 23 onwards, the recently deceased are discussed, starting with David Jacobs, then followed by Lar Park Lincoln and later Douglas Sheehan and James Houghton. Michael Fairman thought James Houghton had left Knots Landing voluntarily, but none of the three ladies could confirm this. Towards the end of the interview, Ted Shackelford and his latest photos are discussed.

I chose from the beginning not to listen to this podcast. Most of the time, in each interview, they talk about the same thing. It's never very interesting, and there's something false or overplayed about it, I prefer to keep the memories of old interviews or appearances they made after the end of KL.
For me this podcast is as if it were a sequel to the series, it's not necessarily a great idea, given their age or the few new things they have to say. Sometimes you have to know when to leave. It's like singers who always sing the same song fifty years later!

They also mention that they’ll take their podcast to video for special appearances by Knots colleagues. From memory they mentioned that they even got Nicolette to agree. Michelle Phillips was another.

Fab! I just started listening to the 90210 podcast, even though I've hardly seen any of that show, and it's a lot of fun. Tori Spelling is full of beans and very funny. Maxwell Caulfield, who apparently was in a couple of scenes in the pilot, pops up as a special guest early on and is so sweet and just delightful.

I seem to remember only one: When Paul Galveston asked Greg what was going on between him and Mack and Sumner said, "We're having an affair!"

The ladies also mentioned the suspicious friendship between Laura and Ciji. It was a bit jarring they talked so highly about the black family when everybody here knows how badly they were treated and that they became almost extras in many episodes. Poor disservice to great actors like Moody and Riley. Also, funny that Michele thought that Troy Beyer´s character was the same Halle Berry played seasons later...

I'm glad they will do video for special appearances as I must prefer to watch video than to only listen to audio.

I am not that good at listening to audiobooks, podcasts or even radio to be honest. I tend to listen to music more.

I will have to check out the video interview later. Also I had somehow missed that Lar Park Lincoln had passed away. :(

Anyway I am glad that their podcast is doing well. Is it free to download or does it cost a subscription fee?

Can't find the link right now, but I read they're getting a very special guest---Tonya Crowe! Crowe did very memorable work with all three ladies.

I think people need to lay off the looks comments: Knot's was 40 years ago and none of us looks as we did then. Cut some slack.
