Just finished watching Brooks, Meadows and Lovely Faces and I'm quite dissapointed. Guess bought into the hype.I get what the director was going for which is a parody of Bollywood films.Too bad the film turned out to be a Bollywood film itself.It started out as a parody though and ended(That jumping into the river scene was a lovely reference to Ganges)as one but somewhere along the way it just started taking itself too seriously.All those colors and glamour left me feeling dizzy which is not necessarily a bad thing (Irreversible) but when added over the top acting and unnecessary story lines that is when it got too much for me.Oh and how could I forget about that cliche and desperate attempt of commentary on reconstruction.

A 4,5/10 film for me.

I keep trying to find my copy of that! Best part of the movie:

The daughter's casting, Hepburn's real life nice, almost ruins it.

But when stars are allowed to overly influence casting, it's usually not a good thing.... Roddy McDowall as Augustus Caesar in CLEOPATRA?? Monty Clift as the doctor in SUDDENLY, LAST SUMMER ???

The Simple-Minded Murderer from 1982, starring a young Stellan Skarsgård. For the first time, I could see where Alexander Skarsgård got some of his looks from.
