Okay, I wasn't watching (haven't been in eons) so I have to ask--why is Victor tolerating Ashland?
Basically he tolerated him for Victoria’s sake and because it made life worse for Billy Boy Abbott.Okay, I wasn't watching (haven't been in eons) so I have to ask--why is Victor tolerating Ashland?
I really liked the proposal as well. I thought it was well done. Noah was actually supposed to be in charge of buying the toilet paper that was being used as baby Dominick. But once that role was filled by a real baby (and a really cute one I might add), then the plans for Noah were obviously changed. So I guess it’s back to the drawing board for the character. While I'm not a huge Mariah & Tessa fan, the proposal was sweet. Nevertheless, I still don't know what NuNoah is supposed to do in Genoa City. Why recast a character, when there is no (obvious) masterplan?
I just think Ashland faking his illness is way too predictable. I think we’ve all seen this one coming for months. I am interested to see what Robert Newman will do with the role though. Now I understand why Ashland needs a recast instead of just killing him off-screen. Thanks to Victor and Michael, the Ashland story is finally interesting and after a long time I'm excited to see how a storyline develops on Y&R. I'm sure Victor will not disappoint me.
Yes, I think the character is going to have to shift a little. Robert Newman playing Ashland in his current form is a little hard for me to see.I can imagine they won't be able to resist doing some work under the hood since Robert Newman's turn as GL's Josh Lewis is mostly remembered as a heroic character, not the secretive mystery man they imagine Ashland to be.
I can see them having some good scenes together but personally I’m looking forward to any possible scenes with Tracy Abbott. For some reason I can see them having some good chemistry.I keep imagining what fun Robert Newman and Eileen Davidson would be onscreen.
It will be nice having him back in the CBS fold. I’ve always been a fan of his. Hopefully the writers can give him some good material to work with.I am excited about Robert Newman joining the show as Ashland Locke next week and seeing him with Amelia Heinle as Victoria since I loved him on Guiding Light as Joshua Lewis even though I am not a fan of some the current storylines.![]()
I’m actually enjoying his scenes so far but I guess I’m a little biased when it comes to Robert Newman. I’m watching him on daytime most of my life so I’m probably not the one to ask. I was watching those scenes last night hoping Kim Zimmer would show up so obviously I have issues too.Any thoughts on NuAshland yet? A bit boring, right? Only now do I realize how good Richard Burgi was as Ashland.
I think a Chelsea and Rey pairing would be good, especially if it frees up Sharon for Nick. I think it’s about time they put these two back together.
Weird writers don't want them as a couple. Just as weird that the other real-life couple Bryton James and Brytni Sarpy got separated on the show. I'm not thrilled that Devon is dating Hillary's twin sister. I liked Amanda regardless of Devon much more.Too bad Mark Grossman and Sharon Case are a couple, cause I think that's why they hesitate with Sharon & Adam.
