The Bold and the Beautiful Watching The Bold and the Beautiful

It's like comparing apples to oranges.
I was thinking more like ice cream to horse manure but I’ll be nice. I’m picking on current B&B a little too much lately.

Then again it is well deserved

I'm so glad B&B isn't about Liam anymore. Who does he love today, who tomorrow? Why does everyone have to talk about his love life? His father disappoints him (again and again), he will never forgive him and then he does. I'm relieved that those times are over, the current storylines are better but we are in the middle of sweeps, so I was hoping for a little more drama or is it already drama when Ridge and Deacon are in a fist fight?

I find it interesting that Ridge and Deacon are still fighting over Brooke after 20 years and Brooke and Taylor are still fighting over Ridge after 30 years. It’s like time has stood still. Can’t we think of anything original anymore?

Were the fight scenes supposed to make me laugh? I watched the clips online and it just looked so ridiculous watching those two go at it now.

Probably. One of them knows a few martial arts moves, the other hasn't practice much boxing or kicking. I take it like in the Bridget Jones's Diary movies with Hugh Grant and Colun Firth fighting. They discussed how to do those fighting scenes and agreed that their characters have no idea how to fight. So it should look like that as well. Hysterically funny scenes.

If they'd added music to the Deacon/Ridge fight.........

I’m not crazy about the idea of the stand alone episode with Brooke and her five loves of her life. I mean, how does one even have five loves? I guess with Brooke anything is possible. I wish they would’ve thought of something better for the 35th anniversary.

I'm glad that Ingo Rademacher isn't returning as Thorne, but Winsor Harmon. I didn't think Jack Wagner would ever return but I'm interested even though I didn't like Nick back then.

Maybe instead of her five loves they should have featured Brooke's children in that episode. What happened to Rick and RJ? And what about Brooke's child that Taylor gave birth to? Brooke pretends to be a wonderful mother, but she is not.

Poor Ingo! I always forget about him playing Thorne. The first time he opened his mouth and I heard the accent I cracked up laughing.

So I’m wondering if assuming the five loves are Eric, Ridge, Thorne, Jack and Bill, then where does Deacon fit in in all of this?

Let's party!

I'll pass. I lived through 4 of 5 of the love stories before I quit watching. I never liked the flashback montages of anything with Brooke. I didn't watch the last few episodes that were tributes to Brooke's love life (this is not the first one, they had like 5 of them during the pandemic break and also around the time when she married Thorne).

Why yet another tribute of all the loves of her life?! Why can't they honor any other character? Someone slightly less boring character would suffice. I'd rather have an episode honoring the cleaning staff at Forrester to be honest.

I won't watch, which is too bad. I usually tune in for specials to remember good old times.

"Yes, I've cleaned Ms. Logan's office for several years now. It's always a challenge to get the....um, protein stains out of the carpet, since her...umm, late-night meetings usually end up on that spot on the carpet over there [points to spot on floor behind desk]. Luckily we have these thicker biohazard gloves designed to clean up....such things. She's very dedicated to her career....I mean, some days they're just lined up in the lobby waiting to get into her....uh, office wanting to get down to business."

I’m having a flashback of my own right now. I think Dave should come back for Brooke’s stand alone episode and shoot all of her loves. There’s a shakeup.

Or better yet, an hourlong episode dedicated to whatever happened to Maria the maid?

Lawrence Saint-Victor has been on the writing team since October. His material, or what he's collaborating on, should be on the air by now. Carter has definitely become a sex symbol, was this LSV's intention? I was hoping that LSV would make the dialogues more real, but unfortunately not so far.

I don't think he's writing his own material. I heard something about him writing for characters like Deacon.
