The family dinner where Amy introduced Jacob as her boyfriend was highly entertaining.

Tracy's murdered a guy but still looks down on Jacob. Soap magic got Tracy out of jail.
Leanne has no moral high ground to stand on while looking down on Jacob.

What our Jacob was slinging would put a smile on Everyone's face. What our Leanne was slinging would likely give everyone the clap.

Hopefully the whole Lydia thing is ending soon, and I hope Adam is a wiser man for it all and ends things with Sarah. Adam deserves a better than Sarah.

Nicky and Daisy locking horns over Daniel would make for further interesting view. Both ladies are excellent characters.

Our Kevin is a clown. Being unfaithful is his bag. Making bad decisions is his scene.

How can he be bent out of shape over Alfie but chuffed to bits about Jack... the man should be in a Big Top.

And, dear God.... Imran you can do better than Toyah. Not Abi!

Nice to see Laura finally doing something to help Kelly, even if Gary gets away with murdering Rick.

Really not sure what to make of the fledgling relationship between Emma and her new fella. Curtis just disappeared so it seemed.

Dear God, what is wrong with Imran? What makes an educated and learned man want to get involved with skag fiends and whinging doormats. Toyah went to seek advice from Leanne. Leanne!

As for Leanne looking down on Abi and calling out Imran's behaviour.... the brass got knocked up by Steve while Tracey was doing whatever.
The hooker is lives in the gutter and is clueless as to where the star are to be found.

Sarah should never offer comments on anyone's anything, ever. While Betheny was being passed around like a crack whore in a Travelodge super saver room our Sarah was getting impregnated by a petty crook who she then killed. She invited Lydia into her and Adam's what ever that ridiculous relationship is and then lapped up Lydia's jazz and has the audacity to get upset. But hey while her daughter is being pimped out she was being knocked up by her brother's stepson's petty crook father. Touch of class right there.

Kelly takes advice about magic potions from the mother of the guy she helped murder. Really.... that's late night candle light.

As for Alfie, WTF...the skag head should be grateful for Imran's proactive steps to ensure that Alfie will be provided for.

And as ever Daisy a witch that'll make your heartbeat stop.
Daisy a witch that'll make your heartbeat start.

And Kelly and her asymmetric brow have been excellent in recent weeks.

Daisy has been magnificent this week.
Nicky has been magnificent this week.

Daniel doesn't deserve either!

Tim and Sally are a great couple and are just brilliant on screen.

Actor, Martin Hancock who played Emily Bishop’s eco warrIor nephew, Geoffrey “Spider” Nugent is making a return to the Corrie cobbles later this summer.
I wonder if the writers will choose to hook up Spider with old flame, Toyah now that Charlie de Melo who plays Imran is leaving the series.

Also, another Corrie favourite is returning to the cobbles.

Actor Reece Dinsdale who memorably played the part of Joe McIntyre who died at sea whilst trying to fake his own death so that he could claim on a life insurance policy is returning to Weatherfield but this time working behind the camera as a director.

He will make his Corrie directorial debut at the end of this month with his episodes slated to air in July.

In doing so, he is following in the footsteps of a number of actors turned Corrie directors including Casualty actress, Amanda Mealing and former Brookside star, Leon Lopez who have both directed episodes on the cobbles in recent times.

Carla and Sarah have no success in gaining any orders for Underworld, have me wondering if the writers and planning on Carla & Sarah losing their jobs, and the factory will be run by Kirk and Jacob.

I miss the days when a maximum of two characters ran the factory.

I have no idea how Peter could give evidence at the hearing of the surgeon when Peter spent the whole time asleep.

Thank goodness for Todd.

It's odd but I like the surgeon Thorn's arrogant ways. Great screen presence and seemingly always one step ahead.

Carla is currently being criminally sidelined with silly storylines about running around after Peter.

I saw Peter & Carla go for a meal in the Bistro and the dodgy surgeon came in at the same time to celebrate his promotion, and I thought, that's handy.

I saw Fiz in the cafe chatting about her new home; then I saw Tyrone was sitting at the next table listening in, and I thought, that's handy.

I say Ben (the guy blackmailing Imran) chatting on his phone asking for more drugs, and Abi was just behind him listening to the conversation, and I thought, that's handy.

I saw Fiz miss her bus back home to her new house just as Tyrone was walking past, and he offered to take her home; I thought, that's handy.

I saw Sean deciding to undress Alfie (saying it was hot in the factory) and then revealing the babygro which said 'mummy's boy' in front of everyone, and I thought, that's handy.

Time is avoiding Sally and her sexual urges, and then he goes and wins first prize in a raffle for a romantic evening in the luxury hotel, and I thought, that's handy.

I saw Fis getting very upset over Phil's rude mates harping on about John Stape. Fiz needed to escape asap, and as she did, Tyrone was walking past, catching her upset, and I thought, that's handy.

I'm sorry to see her go.
To be honest, I can’t remember the last time she was given a storyline so
I have wondered how much Covid has restricted some older actors and whether they fall into the vulnerability levels.

We have a few characters from the past on their way back to the cobbles and I'm still excited for Damon Grant to appear on the street.

Hi @Ome,

Were you aware that Wendy Crozier is also returning to Weatherfield to rekindle her romance with Ken Barlow?

A Lancaster actor is set to return to her iconic role in Coronation Street.

Roberta Kerr will be reprising her role as Wendy Crozier, now Wendy Papadopoulos, in the legendary ITV soap.

Wendy had an infamous affair with the soap's longest-serving character Ken Barlow, played by William Roache, in 1989.

Roberta made a brief return to Corrie in 2012 and will now reprise the role when Wendy becomes the social worker of Abi Franklin, played by Sally Carman.

"She is returning again," Roberta confirmed.

"When she returned in 2012 she wasn't Wendy Crozier, she married a Greek person and is now Wendy Papadopoulos.

"Now she's just about to come back, as Abi's social worker."

Speaking of her first stint in the Street in 1989, Roberta said: "A lot of it is a hell of a blur, I'd just had a baby, as far as I'm concerned (being an iconic character) never crossed my mind.

"I do remember in terms of publicity, there was a caricature in one of the tabloids, of me in bed with Ken, and I thought, I hope my mother doesn't see that!

"I wasn't a publicity-seeking type of a person. I think the publicity department are fantastic, making a whole big thing of it."

Hi,

Yes, I was aware of her return, though not the circumstances behind it. I love that she’s going to be involved in Abi’s story, though I’m not impressed with the idea of her and Ken getting back together.

I’d love to see Ken back with Denise.

I’m also aware we have Stephen (Audrey’s son) and Spider returning and Kevin Kennedy is constantly shouting on social media about wanting to return.
