Hi everybody!

Voilà my latest Supersoaps video for Falcon Crest´s best Angela-Lance scenes. If you want to see some other topic covered by my videos just mention it here. Enjoy the clips and that couple´s snarkiness (no pun intended).

Great video @Toni.

My favourite Lance/Angela scene only made your honourable mentions, it's the one after Julia's death when Angela tell Lance of her regrets as her mother, in fact that's one of my favourites of any type of scene in Falcon Crest.

Today I´m re-posting a video that was "blocked" months ago because, well, (YouTube) reasons. I think the subject deserved another chance, and I´ve re-edited the clip "in question" (Caress v. Alexis no less) and it seems it´s been finally "allowed" to exist! Enjoy it if you didn´t see back then.

This Top 40 video is a tribute to the most explosive cliffhangers in a Supersoap (between 1979 & 2017) including this time "Dallas", "Knots Landing", "Dynasty", "Falcon Crest", "The Colbys", "Flamingo Road", "Melrose Place", "Revenge", "Empire" (these three latter for the very first, and not last, time in my channel), and TNT´s "Dallas".

Excluded are the teenage or professional dramas, the remakes, the one-season soaps and the season finales. Oh and SPOILER ALERT for the recent ones!!! Despite here only appears the very last scene of every season finale, we have taken into account the whole episodes to create the order of this Top 40.

Toni, all in all a fine collection of Top 40 prime time cliffhangers. I would have placed the FC second season ending 'Climax' into the Top 10, rather than at number 12. Still great stuff though and of course no surprise as to who claims the top place.

Emma had a traumatic season 6 trying to communicate with her deceased husband's spirit, via assumed spiritualist Vince Karlotti. Karlotti envisaged the bigger prize and wanted to get his foot through the door at FC, by marrying sweet Emma. Only he turned out to be a bigamist. The straw that broke the camel's back was Emma's adoption of Wendell didn't work out. All this as taken its toll on the youngest Channing daughter and her mental health is at an all time low. Chao-Li is not feeling great either but still manages to cook breakfast for Emma, (a scene from season 6, 1986 - '87):

Chao-Li brings the breakfast to her bedroom. There is no sign of the sweet one.

Chao-Li: "Emma! Emma! Don't hide from me."

He looks around the landing.

Chao-Li: "Emma! Where are you?"

He notices a door opened up to the attic and goes in search of her.

Emma is up on the roof, threatening to jump or to try and fly maybe.

Chao-Li: "Emma......No!"

Emma: "Tell mother I can't take anymore."

Chao-Li: "No! Please wait."

He runs off to fetch Angela.

Angela is in her study. The sliding doors are closed, as she is reading old flame Peter's letter.

Chao-Li makes his way to the stairs and shouts: "Mrs. Channing."

His back is hurting. Again he says: "Mrs. Channing."

Then Chao-Li lifts a hand to his head and tumbles down the stairs.

Emma is in jeopardy. Angela didn't hear her right hand man. Maid Melody isn't around and Lance is away playing the field. Will there be no more wine served by Chao-Li?

One Angela and Richard scene that I really liked was the one in Stormy Weather when they bonded over a game of chess. It seemed to signify the beginning of a shift in their relationship to a more friendly one after years of being adversaries.

It's a nice scene.
The scriptwriter's quotation is
"Abruptly they lock eyes. And for a split second, a vulnerable look passes between them. a subtle acknowledgment that they both have deep significant, emotional yearnings for the Mother/Son bond. As we":
Disappointment Richard falls asleep and appears covered, It was Angela comment Gath and Chao li.But we did not see her as we never saw an affectionate kiss from Angela to her son
Angela-Jane's problem because David-Richard is very affectionate and tender with his children, Emma Gath, ....
Jane was a mother was an inadequate mother as her adopted son Michael described her "a cruel and cold mother who abandoned her children to pursue her career, her marriages and her dogs"
And her brother-in-law "Her mother, Jane Wyman, had practically abandoned her and her brother Michael as children, enrolling them in boarding schools when they were just five years old, so that she could continue her career uninterrupted, which was what really interested her. When he deigned to talk to them, they were so hurtful and brutal, that they usually ended up crying. Jane has a tongue like a razor and is capable of hurting and destroying. "
I guess after seeing Angela most viewers would think They was right.
It is not a fake you can check it in

Angela: "Richard you have a lot to learn!"

Angela: "Jacqueline Perrault is not your real mother. I am!"

@Miss Piggy Mistress of the Greenness another magnificent video, in tribute to the 40th anniversary. Of all the characters in FALCON CREST it was Richard and Angela who had the most rollercoasters. Richard had a turbulent past. He wanted so much to be accepted into a family unit, while Chase tolerated him at best it was Jane's character (Angela) who more often than not put up walls.

Granted he made life difficult for her. However when all is said and done their few tender scenes from the show's twilight years really did highlight the acting capability of Jane Wyman and David Selby. The bickering and battling was left at the door. It was heartsome.

In addition to the chess playing scene in 'Stormy Weather' which @Angela Chilling has already mentioned I liked Richard checking in on his mother; in 'Dust to Dust', after Melissa died and the mansion was burnt out.

Angela is standing in the ruins of the mansion, after Melissa's initiated fire ripped through it. Chao-Li is visibly upset after inspecting the state of the place, (a scene from season 8, 1988 - '89):

He says to Richard who was asking how the fire started: "Who can tell with accidents? Perhaps it was an electrical fire."

Richard who was incognito; after escaping the 13, speaks to his mother regarding Maggie who didn't know he was still alive.

Angela: "Well I told you to tell her. Most women like to know if their husbands are really dead or alive."

Richard: "Well its a little late to start teaching me about women."

Angela tries to crack a smile.

Richard: "Are you going to be alright?"

Angela looks up to the sky and says, "We are Giobertis Richard. We're not easily defeated. There will be a new Falcon Crest. You can mark my word!"

Hello everybody! Here is my latest video, this time multisoap-themed, with 12+1 movies that inspired the 80s supersoaps. As usual, the viewers have the last word about it. I´m very interested in knowing your thoughts about my choices.

I was mesmerized Toni, I am a fan of old movies and never realized all of the source materials for the story lines. I was stunned with #1! Fantastic work!

I love your videos, your comments, but for when a video with the best moments between Maggie and Richard.
They had great chemistry and made a great couple on screen.
In October 1987 Soap Digest began with a series of tender moments and for Falcon Crest he chose the Casablanca scene.

Excellent video Toni! Fascinating and very informative. Well done.

Thanks a lot Mr. Channing! I had good masters... (like vous and other talented people in this forum...)

In fact, I have had... 40? years to think about this subject. I was a cinephile before I was a "Dallas" fan, so every time I saw some melodrama cliché on any soap, my alert triggered. When I tried to watch "Dynasty", the alert broke up because of a cliché excess!!
Re "Falcon Crest", I always felt there was a current of respect towards the homages and Hollywood guest stars, and I loved that!
The titles reviewed in the video are my strict choices this time. I also have in mind when I make other videos the "popular" opinions of the genre (mainly of people here) so I can be more objective. Anyway, it´s a double pleasure: first to make it, then to share it!
