This is quite fascinating! I’d give just about anything to be a fly on the wall in that car.

And I'm sure there indeed were flies:

Unfortunately yes. I did watch that trainwreck of a movie once when it came out.
It was ridiculous how they aged Lindsay Lohan to portray a 50 year old Elizabeth.
IMHO it would have been better to just focus the movie on their early years.

The only good thing I can say for Lindsay Lohan is that in terms of looks she did look more like Elizabeth than some other actresses who they have chosen to portray her. In that profile photo on the video I actually for a moment thought it was the real Elizabeth.

It feels like a long time ago that she passed away now. Thinking back on that day still makes me feel sad.
But at least Elizabeth lived a very full life and did more thing than most people do in three lifetimes.

Anybody watch the new Doc? I watched it over the weekend. Michael Wilding (husband #2?, after Hilton and before Todd as. I recall?) is represented with some clips from “Stage Fright” with Jane Wyman (a little unbilled cameo). She pushes back at Debbie a bit. She is as always dismissive of “Butterfield 8” but Roddy defends her performance. She maintains she won it for her tracheotomy.

Not a lot about Clift and nothing about the accident. Bit about Dean. Gave me a better understanding of her film career which I always think of as coming pretty easy.

I thought it was pretty good and represented her with more depth than we sometimes see her. Maybe a bit husband heavy and in terms of career context beyond seeing her in a flicker with Kate we don’t see her with her female peers. Not a lot about the later years just her philanthropy.

Nothing really groundbreaking but I thought it was well done.
