Am I the only one who cannot tolerate the Mark Graison character?

In Pam's mind, it is partly Bobby's fault. Pam and Miss Ellie told J.R. and Bobby that the Battle for Ewing Oil would be a disaster. It beats me why Pam didn't go full on for Mark sooner.
Pam didn't love Mark. She was still in love with Bobby. And if she did leave Bobby, then Bobby's choices on who he dated are not her business
And Bobby didn't ask for the battle. It was Jock's will.
Bobby couldn't back down

I agree but then there’s the reality that Pam didn’t sleep with Mark until Jenna was back in the picture. She was still putting Mark off because of her feelings for Bobby but once she witnessed him and Jenna being physical she decided to sleep with Mark. So I guess the question is if Jenna doesn’t return does Pam still keep stalling Mark because Bobby is still available.

It looked more like revenge sex to me. I just recently watched the episode where they had the women's mechanical bull riding contest. At the end, Bobby and Jenna shares a passionate kiss and Pam storms out. The next scene Mark carries Pam up the stairs and it's strongly presumed that they make love for the first time. The next day she tell's Christopher that "she cares for Mark, but he's not your daddy."

Nothing wrong in inviting a beautiful woman for breakfast. Maybe he was testing the water or pushing his luck a bit but why not?

Most men would given half a chance.

He was trying to make the most of the opportunity before that business stretched into thin air and completely disappeared.

Agreed. Exactly what I said. If Pam didn't want his attention, she should've told him.

Sad when she kisses Mark and sleeps with him just because Bobby kissed Jenna at that mechanical Rodeo thing.
But there is when she's a married woman. Pam made it perfectly clear to Mark that she was married and not interested, but Mark stalked her at her workplace instead of backing off. He was a playboy creep who was used to getting what he wanted.

Pam did not make it perfectly clear. She could have refused to have breakfast with him or have breakfast with him only if Bobby is there. That's what married women do. "Yeah, we can have breakfast, but my spouse will be coming too."

And when Mark showed up at her business, she should have told him that she's married and the next time you show up, you'll meet my husband. But she gave off signals that she was interested.

Absolutely, Pam could and should have done all of those things, but telling Mark once that she was married really should have been enough to get him to take a hike. But no, he continued to stalk her and wear her down. April did the same thing to Bobby. She stalked him until he was so tired that he married her when what he really should have done was slap her with a copy of "He's Just Not That Into You!" and a restraining order.

Well she still showed up for that breakfast. Pam wasn't a shrinking violet, if she meant what she said, he would've taken the hint. She should've been more insistent against his persistence. If once should have been enough then it needed to be said with genuine meaning.

Mark was trying his luck, of course he was, but Pam didn't try hard enough to dissuade him. Mark wasn't a playboy creep used to getting his own way, he was strung along thinking he was in with a chance.

I agree. Pam didn't exactly dissuade him beyond minimal efforts

I think part of the reason he kept going after her was the vibes he got from the very first time they met. He knew right off the bat that Pam and Bobby were on different sides of the war. He probably figured he could press his luck based on that. Not too long after that J.R. runs into Mark and tells him Pam no longer lives at Southfork; yet more motivation for Mark to keep pursuing her.

I never cared for the Mark Graison character, he was basically a plot device
Admittedly, I didn't dislike him as much as Dusty and Clayton, though.

Trivia. John Beck and Susan Howard were in the same Bonanza episode "The Medal" 1969

Mark may have had his faults, but in addition to the mustache and chest he had tremendous taste in cars and, as the first person to skydive naked on the back of a polo pony, he deserves our respect.

I still think it was Ed Haynes in the shower, though.
