For me, it's not Dynasty if Blake don't have K and K don't have B.

The ending with/for B&K should have been in season 8, they leave Denver together with the irritating child and let the children and Alexis, and Sable, battle it out. I also think the writers would be happy with that, not having to focus on the relationship and what rules not to break.

In my mind Blake does not exist anymore in Denver when K has gone to the alps.

I recently discovered that Sable vs. Alexis was inspired by Vanessa Redgrave vs. Glenda Jackson in Mary, Queen Of Scots (1971)
It adds a cinematic layer to an already great season.

To me, Dynasty IS Blake Carrington. The ecosystem evolved from this fact. And I can't think of another show with an equally important start figur or head man. Blake was written very smart, and no surprise a woman was involved in creating him, with real personality features that made him complex and lovable and not just a bulldozer for power and women. He had a meaning, and JF:s good looks integrated well with this Carrington pride and tower of strength Alexis often referred to.

Blake was written very smart

After season 1 he wasn’t.
Cecil Colby played him. I’ll give that but the writing of his weak ex wife despite having new power playing him every season and he didn’t recognize his own wife.

Blake accumulated most of his wealth on his own, hence Denver-Carrintgon, his own company and his own rumor in the business world. When Alexis came in, he did behave somewhat odd in the dealings with her, letting her get the best of him. But him and Alexis kind of traded places after season 1, so one of them was to "surrender" to the denseness needed for the drama.

In the end, Blake always beat Alexis.

Have you ever heard of this theory regarding the finale? A final scene in which Alexis is gassed while Adam, Fallon, Dex, and Sable watch through a glass partition would certainly have been dramatic—but was that really something anyone wanted to see?

According to that "article" Spelling has been a Lorimar-Producer. So Dynasty was a Lorimar production after all. Interesting, never knew that.

That's the most atrocious Dynasty speculation I've ever read (well, you translated it for us )
A comeuppance is always appreciated but a slasher followed by the gas chamber is over-the-top grim and devoid of irony or something else that makes it satisfying. At the very least, the death of Blake Carrington should result in a grandiose whodunit.
That article is written by a Dynasty-hater, and there will be consequences.

And I don't think a soap can have a true "final ending". It stops but it sort of continues off-screen. Krystle said it in the Reunion "a new beginning for all of us" and Alexis makes it very clear that they'll continue to be in each other's lives which means she's plotting something.
