Well, Kristin can be ruled out, I guess, because she didn't kill anybody despite trying.
Lady Jessica killed her first sister-in-law, Amy, and went aiming for her next one, Ellie.
But Katherine not only hired a hit man, in the end she even killed herself! So, Katherine wins.

I mean, Katherine did the most evil deeds and probably was the worst PERSON, but Kristin seemed to have some deep seeded resentment/jealousy/hatred towards Sue Ellen and acted the way she did specifically to hurt her. So, I'll say Kristin was the worst SISTER.

I wonder if Kristin felt betrayed by Sue Ellen because she (Sue Ellen) knew what their mother was like but she went living in Dallas anyway, leaving her younger sister with Patricia. If we're going to delve into the psychology of Kristin then I also wonder if the bullet was only meant for JR.

Wasn't Michelle actually a good sister? Presumably, even truly good sisters like Pam or Cally wouldn't have killed the person who murdered one of their siblings—yet Michelle did.
Alongside Katherine and Jessica, I have to count Kristin among the worst sisters—though I think that, had she not fallen into the pool, she would have followed a similar path in later seasons to Sammy Jo in Dynasty: that of the reformed bitch.

The more homicidal the misogyny-in-law, the less explanation or background story we'd get for it. Which is why Lady Jessica must've been relatively harmless, because we got some historical exposition on her.

That's my thoughts as well. Katherine was the most deranged and dangerous, but she only really knew Pam for a couple years. The betrayal as a sister wasn't that deep. Kristen knew Sue Ellen her entire life and still tried to steal her husband and ruin her life. That was personal.

They always blame the woman -- ideally, the woman who doesn't live under the roof at Southfork and has a limited contract. And that's usually going to be a sexually dysregulated sister-in-law with a pistol.
