as I have recently been watching a Youtube reviewer of episodes of BCS

I'm definitely going to check out some BB stuff on the internet (interviews, and maybe there's something about pro-and anti-Skyler fans!)
Have you watched Jesse's BB movie? (Breaking Bad movie, not bareback movie)
If he's going to die then I don't want to see it!

Yes, and it's very good, as you'd expect. Definitely the first thing you should watch after BB ends, and before you start Better Call Saul??

And now they've killed the boy with the spider. It doesn't matter that it wasn't Jesse or Walt or Mike who killed him. It happened.
I don't think it'll ever feel like "business as usual" again.
I wonder if the writers had considered the possibility that this would cast a shadow over the rest of the episodes - or maybe that's exactly the point of it?

Funny that Walt should mention Coca-Cola, because what he's doing - because of the cancer - is living life to the max, which is an old Pepsi tagline.
The White residence has become a war zone, and somehow I think a reconciliation is off the table.
I think it's normal to root for Walt because the alternative is the end of the story. If he can't cook then there's no Breaking Bad.
But now there's nothing left that justifies any kind of "support" from my point of view, especially after the boy was killed.
It would be poetic justice if FLY would return and destroy him in the final episode.

It's the third to last one, Episode 14, 'Ozymandias'.

Watching ep. 10 now, Hank is trying to persuade Skyler to give him all the details because he's figured it all out.
It is of course the discovery fans have been waiting for, but it's six more episodes after this. That's six episodes of extreme tension and stress.
And the first fans had to wait a whole week for the next episode, that's downright sadistic.

This is all very difficult and stressful!

I don't understand what it was that made Jesse think that Saul (or his bodyguard) had taken the ricine cigarette.
He had already accepted the fact that he couldn't explain the missing cigarette, and he must have bought many new packets since that incident, so….what was so special about this packet?

I remember being a bit confused when I watched the episode too. Because Hule lifted the bag of weed off him he started to put two and two together.

I listened to The Sopranos podcast today and Christopher from The Sopranos said he's never seen an episode of Breaking Bad or The Wire, even though he's sure they're brilliant, because he's not really interested in stories about drugs, which is kind of a funny thing for Christopher from The Sopranos to say. But he loves The Royle Family.

No I haven't. I've only watched the pilot. I really should get back to it. I'm sure I'll be glad I did.

Walt's phonecall to Skyler is simply amazing. This is not acting, this is art.
Could the internetmoviedatabasers be right? Is Breaking Bad really the best TV series ever made, and will it never be topped?

I feel Walt is also facing himself here. Before he "broke bad" he thought he could accept his role of the underdog, he thought he could accept the fact that he had missed out on Gray Matter's success, he thought he could put up with Hank's awful sense of humour, he thought it didn't annoy him that his students couldn't care less about chemistry.
Heck, he even thought he could accept the cancer. Sure, on top of everything, why not?
And all this time he was seething, and feeling trapped - because everyone thought he had accepted his role, and he had (inadvertently) helped them to accept it, so he couldn't even blame them. It's an utterly frustrating trap.

And then, with his Heisenberg power and resources, his wife has the gall to reject him.
It's an extreme situation, but the emotions make sense to me.

It really is. And what about the showdown at the house? Skyler accuses Walt of killing Hank, the struggle with knife, and Skyler screaming in the street with bloody hands. Man that was intense.

Could the internetmoviedatabasers be right? Is Breaking Bad really the best TV series ever made, and will it never be topped?

Actually some lists that I have seen put the Sopranos at number 1 and Breaking Bad 2nd. I really should watch the Sopranos. But yes, Breaking Bad is right up there. The writing is so good.

I don't think so, but I only know what Dutchflix and the Dutch/German amazons have.
It's only 29 (great) episodes, maybe it could serve as a warming-up to The Sopranos.

I forgot to mention that I spotted the first (!!) Indian in BB's 60th episode, which is kinda unrealistic. So maybe it's not perfect after all!
Another odd thing was the credits in the middle of the episode.

Any other thoughts on the finale? Did you feel it was a satisfying end to the story?

It was very satisfying, I knew Walt was up to something when he visisted the "Langmore" brothers (I don't even know their last name) but I had no idea what it was until it happened.
Skyler allowed him to watch Holly for the last time, and to me it felt as if the writers were saying, Walt has done horrible things, but we kinda like him.
There have been many moments when I truly despised Walt, but in end I couldn't help but rooting for him. The fact that he was out-villained by The Brothers made it a little easier, I guess.
I also didn't feel sorry for Gretchen and Elliott at all. Haha.
Andrea's death (and Jessie's reaction) was probably the most shocking, but that happened in episode 15.
