As nice as these ideas are, I cannot help but think the viewing public would be totally lost trying to keep track of these huge casts. Anyone who watched the first season of The Facts of Life knows what I'm talking about. Within five or six episodes, you'll need to go on a killing spree.

... and two young actors were already seen at their first costume fitting for the series that is set in a fictional small town named Crabs Beach in Florida. Nico Greetham and Isaac Cole Powell, both American Horror Story alumni from the terrible Double Feature and the great NYC.

Greetham and Powell play two hairdressers who solve mysterious murder cases among Florida's elder communities (but depending which channel or streamer picks the show up you see the older people or not, if it's Netflix Ted McGinley and Grant Show play their grandfathers in recurring roles). Ryan Paevey co-stars as their neighbour, a retired police officer who is still connected to his former workplace and always does repair jobs at his house, sweating in tight jeans and muscle shirts or tight jogging pants and some blanket, whatever fits...

The show's working title is Bunny Road, the big main street in Crabs Beach named after the town's influential Bunny family. One prominent family member is Boyd Bunny, a decent lawyer whose office is in a laundrette to make it easier for low-income clients to reach him. Boyd is often at odds with some parts of his corrupt family, among them his father, Blair Underwood, and evil stepmother Nicolette Sheridan. They are big names in the cosmetics industry, known for polluting nature. Sheridan's daughter Tallulah, played by Joey King, is a local TV weather girl who helps her mother with coded messages to warn her about police actions - she has an affair with a Police Lieutenant... Boyd is helping the hairdressers with their murder cases.

When all clues are collected by our super smart team they present their case to a Police Lieutenant played by Jesse Metcalfe (a set photo hints at a very unconventional appearance). He has an affair with local TV celebrity Tallullah and we'll find later out that Metcalfe is Nicolette Sheridan's son she gave up after birth for adoption. If you think the incest is shocking wait how the first season's subplot with Sheridan's crimes involving the beach pollution with illegal substances for hairspray plays out (and no word whether Sheridan continues in the role after a bloody chemical shower!)

Jesse Metcalfe as a Police officer with some secrets.

The main plot in the pilot involves the gruesome murder of a beloved elderly couple's two dogs on Bunny Road (guest-starring Maxwell Caulfield and Catherine Oxenberg). 'Rolling Stone' wrote last week about the teaser (now on YouTube): "This is Miami Vice on XTC for the 2020's , a fever dream Tyler Perry, Mike White and Ryan Murphy wish they had!"

Is this going to be a gay of a straight show? i'm confused with all these handsome men, i prefer the second choice as well.

I'd do a Succession meets Dallas type of show. A mega super rich 90 year old business man dies. He ran the biggest company in town. The 3 oldest of his kids have all worked for him. The rest have been slackers & playboys. It's time for the will to be read. In walks two more people. Turns out daddy had two more children the others didn't know of. And on top of that, every one of his now 8 greedy children inherits 12,5% each of the company. The hated business rival is joyous as chaos erupts.

Clint Eastwood as John.
Recently died.
Only appears in a few flashbacks and in photos.




His children:

Sam Neill as John Jr.
The eldest son and only child from the 1st marriage.
Ruthless in business. Can't stand the siblings who aren't hard workers. Not a people-person. Had a bad relationship with the father. Divorced.

Henry Czerny as Asher.
The second son, from the 2nd marriage (Laura's son).
Hard-working with great social skills and finds it easy to manipulate people to get his way.

Colin Firth as Adam.
The third son, from the 2nd marriage (Laura's son).
Loves his job as much as he loves the ladies. Is cheating on his 3rd wife and is about to get caught in a most unexpected way.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jace.
The fourth son, from the 3rd marriage (his mom mysteriously vanished).
Has been a playboy his whole life. Never been married but has slept with his father's 5th wife Alexa. It is revealed in the will.

Jacqueline McInnes Wood as Peyton.
The 5th child. Teldest daughter from the 4th marriage (Blair's daughter).
Socialite. Loves to spend money and party. Feels entitled. Her name and looks go a very long way. Gets easily bored.

Elizabeth Gillies as Reagan.
The 6th child, from the 4th marriage (Blair's daughter).
A loose cannon with a hot temper. May have accidentally killed someone on purpose, but it was ruled an accident. Always ends up in scandals.

Noah Centineo as Kain.
The 7th child. Eldest of the two unknown children.
Bisexual. Loves to stir the pot. Falls in love with the rival's son William.

Jenna Ortega as Kaia.
The 8th child. Youngest of the two unknown children.
Demands to be respected and to be part of the family.




The father's wives:

Susan Flannery as Laura.
The 2nd wife.
Mother to Asher and Adam, but is a mother figure also to John Jr and Jace.
A true matriarch. Strong, loving and protective. Is the one damanding they all stick together as a family. Lives in a big mansion too.

Jennifer Connelly as Blair.
The 4th wife.
Mother to Peyton and Reagan.
Jet-setter who thought she'd be the trophy wife until the end. Hates Alexa and wants to ruin her. Decides to seduce Alexa's brother Xander.

Jodie Comer as Alexa.
The 5th wife.
Claims to have been in love with her 90 year old husband. No one believes it. Cheated on him with one of his sons. No one really knows if she's good or evil.



The in-laws:

Madeleine Stowe as Jackie.
Wife of Asher. Mother to Poppy.
Cold with his siblings, feels he is the best fit to take over the company. A Lady Macbeth type of character, but very loving with her husband and their 2 children.


The grandchildren:

Jon Hamm as Ben.
John Jr's son.
Is a disappointment to his father because he isn't ambitious enough to take over. But when two bastard children comes into the picture, decreasing his share of the company, his instincts kicks in.

Sydney Sweeney as Poppy.
Daughter of Asher & Jackie.
Favorite grandchild. Will do anything to get what she wants. Has currently set her eyes on aunt Reagans boyfriend Jagger.




The rivals:

Regina King as Portia.
Mother to William.
Took over her father's company because her older brother was "too weak" and pushed to suicide. Accepts no weaknesses and is the elegant queen of evil.

Rome Flynn as William.
Son of Portia.
Bisexual but in the closet. His mother would hit the roof if he didn't get married to a woman and had children. He doesn't want children and falls in love with Kain.

Mads Mikkelsen as Frank.
Was the father's right hand man at the company. Is in charge of the shady deals. Sleeps with Peyton whenever she's too bored to find a new boyfriend.

Blair Underwood as Sam.
William's father. Estranged husband to Portia.

Richard Madden as Xander.
Alexa's brother.
Begins an affair with Blair.

Rebecca Herbst as Caroline.
Adam's wife who he is cheating on.
