Dallas as a limited TV series by Ryan Murphy

What would you think about Dallas be reimagined as a limited TV series by Ryan Murphy? Having different intertwining storylines across different periods, but using plots from the original series.

Major storyline is Jock dying of natural causes and who should get control of Ewing Oil.

Sub storyline 1: Dallas Early Years with Jock, Digger, Jason & Sam Culver

Sub storyline 2: Sue Ellen winning Miss Texas marrying JR and Kristin's jealousy

Sub storyline 3: Bobby and Jenna dating, with Bobby and Donna going to college together. Ray comes to Southfork. Donna meeting an older Sam Culver

Sub storyline 4: JR and Kristin's affair, her shooting JR and framing Sue Ellen

Sub storyline 5: Cliff and Pam growing up, Rebecca leaving marrying again and having Katherine

Sub storyline 6: Rebecca dying and leaving her will to Cliff, Pam and Katherine

Sub storyline 7: Jack and Jamie finding the letter that splits Ewing Oil similar to season 9

Sub storyline 8: Bobby and Pam marrying

Also, how Kit Mainwaring III discovered he was gay, and all the times he went to Studio 54 in the 70s. The deep trauma that made Pam have a 31-episode nightmare. Afton´s experiences as a stripteuse in a Biloxi bar and how she became fond of men who could be her daddies. Jessica´s first crime and how Dusty got traumatized by seeing Mama Amy burn alive. Some would be crossovers from or for Dallas Horror Story, of course.

To really ramp up the magical realism that Murphy is so fond of, let’s get Truman Capote, Joan Crawford, and Bette Davis entangled in the lives of the Ewings.

I can imagine the diminutive Truman gatecrashing theEwing barbecue while sporting an oversized Stetson. Think Beverley Leslie from Will & Grace.

Anyway it sounds like some sort of prequel story. I don't see any point in killing off Jock, as that is not compatible with what happened on the show later on.
So the main plot idea doesn't appeal to me at all.

That is the stuff we haven't already seen on the original Dallas.

Still having said all that I would much prefer a prequel Dynasty TV-series that were in the talks before the reboot. As I would have enjoyed watching a young Blake and Alexis. I think the story should be told from Alexis POV and preferably tie in Joan Collins somehow. I know she's like in her 90s. But she is still working. So I'd say film a bunch of stuff with an aging Alexis looking back on her life. But let the main story be set during Blake & Alexis marriage. Those years were the foundation for Dynasty but we never seen them. So their backstory seems more interesting somehow.

I bet the early 60s equivalent of the Hot Biscuit (was it the same actual place? it wasn’t too far off from the late 70s) served some pretty decent pie, for instance..

I think Ryan Murphy could make a great film or series about reimagining the history of our beloved soap villains - Jock Ewing, Paul Galveston, Blake Carrington, Jacqueline Perrault, Constance Colby etc.
Jessica Montford intends to assassin her nemesis Jackie but accidentally shoots the husband. Yeah, the whole big conspiracy is based on a mistake.
There will be noir-ish double-crossing in the search for Die Glocke and Miss Ellie pulls a Gene Tierney when she allows Jock's kid brother Jason to drown in the lake (but did he really die, and is it connected with the slasher murders in a future time line of the story?)
Young Alexis Morell's promising ballet career is destroyed because of a mysterious on-stage accident orchestrated by her jealous sister Caress. To be fair, Alexis had fondled the producer to make sure she would get the part instead of her more talented cousin Sable, but Caress doesn't know that and it wouldn't matter anyway.
Punk Anderson (played by Cheyenne Jackson) is in love with Jock and blackmails Digger Barnes about a murder he didn't commit (but too drunk to remember he didn't dunit).
The heroine in this prequel is revisionist female FBI agent Diana Fairgate, fearfully called The Girlboss.
