A German magazine compared Dallas characters to those from the Donald Duck universe. This occurred during the ninth season, which later became known as the dream season.
The German names of the characters differ significantly from the original names, but you'll surely recognize the comic book characters. Since Mark returned healed in season 9, he was compared to Gladstone Gander. The editors likened Pam to Magica De Spell, presumably because J.R. is Scrooge McDuck, and Pam, working at Ewing Oil during season 9, could take Ewing Oil away from him, just as Magica De Spell wants to get Scrooge McDuck's Number One Dime.
